I know some restaurants do not allow you to take an ECV in there. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with buffet restaurants like Chef Mickey. If someone is unable to walk around and is using an ECV would they allow them to "drive" around the buffet?

As a regular user of an ECV (and having my own) there is no way I would try to do a buffet in my ECV. It would be a matter of having to make sharp turns while carryng a plate, having to maneuver tightly around other people and corners, and not being able to reach items even halfway back on the buffet. You can turn the seat so that you face the buffet while the ECV is following the line, but some ECVs are set so they will not move unless the seat is facing forward and is latched.

I should elaborate. My friend will be on the ecv. She is unable to walk around the buffet so I offered to carry a plate for her if she could drive around the buffet and tell me what she wanted lol. I wasn't sure if they would let her to even take the ecv into the restaurant?

You should be able to do this. However, when you check in at the podium explain what you will be needing to do so they can give you a table with fairly easy access to the buffet. They will have to remove a chair from the table and your friend will have o pull in parallel and then release the seat so she can face the table. If there is any problem you may have to talk with a manager.
