I was wondering if any one knew if there any tours such as Keys to the kingdom or any others that can acomidate an ECV? I really wanna do a tour but my legs can't handle much walking! thank you!

Most tours can handle an ECV, basically.if they can't, it is usually mentioned.

But the ones in general the ones that can't are:
Those that use Segways
Those with weight restrictions (usually these go over suspension bridges or such)
Those that involve swimming like the Dolphins and such

You can also ask when booking the tour.

My wife used a scooter for our Feb Trip, no issues on Keys to the Kingdom. She's able to walk short distances without an issue so transfers to some of the rides and even the utilidors wasn't an issue.

Reach out to Disney (typically there is a phone number to call to book those tours or events on the Disney World web page for that event; that's the place to start) and tell that that you will require the use of a mobility device, and ask if the event you are considering will be able to accommodate you.

There are very few that can't fully accommodate an ECV; "Caring for Giants" comes to mind - you can't take the ECV all the way down to the viewing area - but otherwise the vast majority of events and/or tours at WDW are quite mobility friendly.

When I did Caring for Giants, they made me leave my ECV next to a building and walk over to the truck. I remember them telling me "Oh, you won't have to walk far." Well, for me it was a very long, painful walk. I couldn't bring my ECV to the animal viewing area, but at least there, I could handle the walk. But for anyone unable to walk, it would be virtually impossible. However, I didn't call in advance to book it-I just booked it that morning at the location. However, the CMs could clearly see that I was in an ECV.

Thank you all so much for the information! I called Disney and double checked. I was able to book the Keys to the Kingdom tour...they are able to handle ECV's but you do have to be able to transfer to the rides. You all were so quick and knowledgeable and I thank you so much! we are going mid September to October 7 so hopefully everything will be as "back to normal" as can be. My kids are worried about the flight but we hope they will be fine.

Did we ever hear from anyone who can't transfer if this experience is available to them? Just curious - We were going to do it when I was still using my ECV, but didn't because like you, the walk was near impossible for me. Now that I am in the chair all the time, I'm wondering if there is a option for those who can't walk during those two parts.

Interesting question! I should think that most tours would be able to accommodate some one in an ECV. I called them directly to check because the only tour I wanted to do was the Keys to the Kingdom.
Last time we did the Safari around the park in a truck but I could never get up the steps into the truck this time. I have severe arthritis, am bone on bone and have severely torn Meniscus in both knees so I'm waiting for surgery but doesn't look like it's gonna happen before the trip. Thanks for the info! you be safe and healthy through this mess ok?

If you are using the ECV in line for the safari, you will be directed to the handicap boarding platform. If the step is too hard, ask if you can have the front and go up the ramp. That is what we do as my Mom has a very hard with the step. She can do it, but it is painful. Using the ramp, it is a straight walk on and off. If there is someone who cannot transfer, you may be asked to wait another truck or if you can make the step. We have never been denied using the ramp though.

No, I admit that I didn't push the issue. However, as my condition deteriorates, I may have to if I ever want to do Caring For Giants again. Now that you mentioned that phone number to call, I may start there next time.
