Anyone know at what parks my Dad may need an ECV & what parks he may be able to do without? And at what parks (if any) do you have to reserve one ahead of time?

My Dad has had numerous heart attacks & surgeries, knee replacement & bad circulation. He can walk, but he can not walk for really long periods of time & he can not stand in 1 place for long.

We went to WDW last year & the only day he needed one was in Epcot - it was so spread out & so long. Otherwise he was fine the other days.

Opinions? How big are any of these parks & how hilly or spread out are they?
He did fine at Magic Kingdom & the other parks......???

If he wanted to get one 4-5- days out of the 10 days we are in California, what parks would you choose?

Thanks!

Hi! I can't say what your dad may need, but let me give you some info anyway! I have had knee surgery. Like your dad, I can walk, but can't stand for long periods, or do alot of walking. DLR has ECVs for rent. The last time I was there they were pretty lame, but they do rent them. They charge $30/day plus a refundable $20 deposit and they are first-come-first-serve. I have heard of them running out of them on occassion, but that may have changed. Personally, I rent a scooter from a company called deckert surgical that can be used at DLR and universal for sure. I also believe they service attractions in SD but call them to be sure. Their number is 714/542-5607. I pay $35-40 /day, but the cart is mine to use for the whole day. I take it from my hotel (I ride it the whole way) to the park I am at. I think they can deliver it right to the park, and I know they deliver the cart to the hotels. I have found them VERY helpful and their scooters are EXCELLANT!!! At least give them a call and see what info you can get from them! That is my advise! I hope that is at least some help!!! I am going to DLR the 10-14 of Oct:cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:
