specifically a Montana.

I am travelling with people in two weeks. I need to be at Disney on Wed and they will not arrive until Thurs.

I was going to fly one way (airtran sale--$70), rent a car at the airport and return at Car Care Center at MK Thurs morning ($35) and then we would use their Montana while there and I would ride home with them.

However--they will have that last row of seats (there will be 6 of us total) in the van. Do you think there is enough room in a minivan--with the last row of seats still inside for an ecv? With the seat off will it "slide" under the last row of seats and then the seat, batteries and back portion go beside it? I am concerned mainly about the "base"--the "pieces" can always fit somewhere :)

I can't ask my cousin because they left this morning for a cheer competition in Dallas and the sale is of course a ONE DAY sale.

TIA

It would depend on the ecv in question. I doubt it would slide under the seat not to mention where will the luggage be? Take the seat off and have your friends measure the space under the seat of the car. measure the Height of your scooter from ground to top of highest point, probably the seat post. also ask them to measure the width and height of the unobstructed area under the seat. Many seats have support bars or brackets etc.

Last fall we rented an ECV and were able to get it into the back of a minvan that had all the seats in it. The ECV came apart (seat, batteries) and the handlebars folded down. Then 2 of us could easily load the ECV, then put the "pieces" on top of it. We rented the small (cheaper) ECV, and it was a close fit. I think any of the "deluxe" or larger ECVs would have been a problem. Good luck! :hippie:

The other question is who's going in the backseat and if there's a 60/40 split backseat. If kids, then the two would fit in the 60 side w/ 2 seatbelts. That would definitely leave enough space for the ECV.

Where will the luggage go? Cooler, camera bags, Any chance to go in a wheel chair and rent an off site scooter if you are able to drive?
Just a thought. I know we are packed even on day trips. Also, the size of the minivan. The Odysee would fit as it has a deep well, the Uplander we rented it was oo packed. We removed the side seat and could lift it in.
