ECV ext cord

I have heard that they say not too. I would ask the company about this and if you are worried about not being able to rich the out let see if you can take the battier out to charge it.

I will say I know someone with an ECV and they use an ext board with there, but I would not if it say do not on the manual

I have rented ECVs from three different venders (Apple, Walker and Yellow) and stayed in value, moderate, deluxe and villas. I have never needed an extra cord. The battery charger has always had enough cord to find a convenient spot to plug in. Remember it has a long cord from the wall plug to the converter box and then another cord from the box that ends with the plug you put into the ECV.

Please do not use an extension cord without specifically checking the manufacturer's specifications in the manual. Doing so on a unit that isn't intended for this can be a fire hazard.
The cords are pretty long. Mine is over 8 ft long and probably closer to 10 feet long. So I have never had an issue being able to reach an outlet.

A 25 foot 16 gauge extension cord will handle almost any common appliance excepting hair dryers and other heat generating appliances. A 25 foot 14 gauge extension cord will handle anything that is plugged into an ordinary U.S. receptacle (wall plug) which is rated for 15 amps.

Multiple extension cords and longer distances require some math to figure out what is safe. Too long a cord and also some ECV chargers will stop charging before the battery is fully charged (due to a phenonemon called voltage drop).

In some restaurants and other buildings, receptacles are in the floor with a cover that you can unscrew using a coin. Bring a "3 prong to 2 prong adapter" with you to be used as a prong extender in case the receptacle is too far below the floor surface for your plug (if angle styled plug or wall wart block) to reach.

I usually take a heavy duty extension cord with me. Sometimes the location of outlets aren't terribly convenient. Several trips I haven't needed to use it, but I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I stayed at one hotel at disney ( AKL) and it had one out let behind the table and chairs it was so hard just to plug my phone apple watch in and I have no mobility problem at all so yes most rooms are fine but there are some that are not

Most of the ECV manufacturing companies say in their manuals not to use an extension cord.

Cords on ECVs used to be shorter and since the companies did not say not to, it was a common practice to bring a heavy duty extension cord or surge protector outlet strip.
Since the owner's manuals say not to, I would not recommend using one.
