I have a hip problem and will need an ECV of wheelchair on our trip to Disneyland. I think I read in the Fantasmic thread that the special area is for wheelchairs and not ECVs. Anyone know if that is true. Also is there a handicapped section for parades? I hate having to use one but I really gave no other choice.

I use an ECV and there are viewing areas for handicapped guest. Just ask your nearest CM to direct you. You should be able to park and sit on your ECV to view the entertainment. Sometimes there is a viewing obstruction and you have to stand or reposition.
Enjoy!

ECV's and wheelchairs sit side by side for Fantasmic and WOC. Actually, if you get to WOC early enough you can sit on a park bench.

The ECV's and wheelchairs are a lot more comfortable than standing or sitting on the ground!

As you're facing the Fantasmic stage, the handicapped viewing area is off to the right, by the Mark Twain. After the first show, if you move closer to the Mark Twain you'll have a great view of Tinkerbell flying over Fantasyland. (A Cast member can show you exactly where.) Not quite the same as viewing the fireworks from in front of the castle, but we enjoyed it.
