I will be using an ECV during our trip. I should be able to transfer to a chair at a table service restaurant, but sitting in the chair will cause me some fatigue. Around home, I sit in a wheelchair at restaurants. So, how does this work at WDW?
Do I drive the ECV to the table and transfer?
Does the ECV have to be parked outside and I have to use a cane & family members to get me to the table?
Is there a wheelchair available to use at the restaurant?

Thanks for any insight!

depends on a variety of factors. some locales you must park it outside and walk in. others you can drive it right to the table and they will move it for you. you should list on your reservation that you will need HA seating. plenty of places have stairs to access dining areas or alternative entrances plus lets face it.. the space between tables is pretty dang tight most of the time.

hav elever seen a couretsy WC at any restaurant.

I used to be able to just park my ECV and then walk into the restaurant. On my latest trip (Sept. 2017) I drove to the table, transferred to a chair, and then had my DH go park the ECV where it was conveniently out of the way. At Citricos the person seating us took care of moving the ECV. At other restaurants in Disney Springs the wait staff did not know how to move it so my DH did the moving.

I now make sure that I add "need wheelchair seating" or something like that to my ADRs. But we did walkups for a couple of places at Disney Springs - but it was obvious I was in an ECV.

Most places offered me the option to remain in the ECV if that's what I wanted.

What @arminnie said.

Make sure you tick the box for accessibility needs - that alerts the CMs that you will likely arrive with a mobility device.

If you happen to be more comfortable sitting on the ECV, then often you can simply ask to have the chair removed. My personal device has a height adjustable seat, and the tiller drops down below standard table/desk height, and so I can just roll forward and sit at the table on my device if I need to. Not all scooters can do that, but even if you need to "parallel park" across the end of the table, and sit sideways, that's OK too!

The CMs will do all they can to help accommodate you. :)
