Hello! We are returning to Disney in Jan 2010. We were last there in Dec of 2007 and rented an ECV without any problems. We went to Universal 2 times and took Mears the first day. It took an hour and a half with all the other stops. We dont want to do that again! The second day we booked a small van. The guy had to have members of our party lift the ECV into the back (he had no ramp or lift) and set it on a spare tire. Plus it was about $100! Are there any economical companies that can transport ECV's to Universal and/or SeaWorld? We are planning on 2 days at Universal and 1 day at SeaWorld. Thanks in advance!

I fit the offsite rental ECV in the back of a Nissan Sentra we had a weekend rental from Enterprize that picked me up. It was $55 for the weekend total.
We lifed the bottom, had the seat off and recline the handle bars. Fit great.

We were able to do off site eating, went to the Medieval Times, Old Town, Shopping, Walgreens, Walmart. One dinner at the Cracker Barrel, Road to DTD one night and stopped for waters at the convience store near there.

If you sign up online I have been getting codes from Hotwire and other places for $9 a day rentals, The onsite rentals are generally costly, but not the Enterprize with codes. If there are only 4 in your party the Nissan is fine.

Did you request an accessible van with Mears?? The few times I've done that, I had a private ride to Universal and back.

Also, to SeaWorld, the Lynx bus is accessible. Take #50 from TTC to SeaWorld. Only $1.50 per person each way.
