Ecuador & Galapagos Islands

Hello all,

I am a single adult planning to go on the October 14th, 2016 trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Has anyone done this trip at that time of year? Any comments?

Hi, anncro54,

I have done this trip a few years ago in December. It was great! Not sure if you've taken the time to search through the threads and stickies, but you should be able to read several reports on this trip (see the sticky at the top of the ABD page) and there have also been many discussions of traveling solo.

As for time of year, so much of this trip takes place on the equator that there are not really "seasons" per se. You will have cool nights and warm days and it will all be wonderful.

Yes, there is a thread that is "stuck" to the top of the ABD page on the DIS titled "Links to ABD trip reports." This is where you can find detailed reports from Dis folk who have done the various ABDs. Scroll through and there are a few from the Ecuador Galapagos trip. When you are just looking for any comments from the community, as opposed to answers to specific questions, it is often easier to read a trip report. I hope that helps!
