Okay, so I've been looking at the websites that sell eco-friendly shoes, and I like some of them, but I'm not sure how comfortable they'd be for lots of walking. I love flip-flops and I'm a fan of Birkenstocks as well.

Has anyone bought shoes made from environmentally friendly materials, and how did you like them if you wore them for a lot of walking???

Thanks in advance!

Well, how are you defining eco friendly?

Since Birks use leather they aren't cow friendly, and if they are still using real cork on the bottoms that's not friendly to the diminishing cork tree supply.

So how are you defining it? :confused3

That said, I think that variety in shoes are good for Disney. Iv'e only been to Disneyland Resort, and I can imagine the walking increases at WDW. Changing shoes at least once a day is important at DLR, and I bet it's as important at WDW, too. So no matter what you get, get more than one pair, and make sure they are comfy and fit well.

No, I would not consider Birks "eco-friendly"...just saying I am comfortable wearing those...hoping that would help narrow the search.

I'll have to check out that website mommy-on-the-move...thank you.
