EBTA 2014...Across the Atlantic we go!!!

I think it may be fun to put people on to teams with other DIS board members as a way to get to know each other better. What do you guys think?

I love that idea! Our favorite part of cruising is the people we meet! :grouphug:

It's a way to explore the ship. I'm organizing the event and am planning on putting people into teams of 2-4 people and give them a list of things to find. Sometimes it will be a bring back an item (like maybe a napkin with the DCL logo), sometimes it will be write down the location of a item, sometimes it will be take a digital picture of an item. I do plan to have PRIZES for the 1st and 2nd place teams.

I did the scavenger hunt on the Panama cruise and it was great fun! :)

We had to take pictures at each stop with one or more of the team to prove we were there. Count me in!

Hi all. We are fresh of the last Med cruise and my son is aching to cruise again. He is actually getting a job himself to take him and me! He wants to be in the Vibe most of the time!

No wonder he wants to be in the Vibe the whole time, last week on the our Med cruise, he constantly had a harem following him around the decks, he is such a handsome young man, the girls were flocking round him :lovestruc

Glad to have you onboard :thumbsup2

Welcome all new cruisers :cool1: seems we have a few people who have dropped out too :sad2:

Hi guys!

We are officially *not* going on this cruise any more  The dates just didn't work out and I'm sad to be losing the amazing 20% discount

It would have been nice to meet you all. It remains to be seen whether we will keep the WBTA 2014.

Have a lovely cruise, and eat lots of Mickey Bars and Cove Cafe chocolate eclairs for me :goodvibes
Same for us. We haven't actually cancelled this cruise, but it's highly unlikely we'll be on it. I hate to give up that 20% discount but it's just not in the cards for us this time.

Enjoy everyone!

Have a wonderful time in FL and on the cruise! If you ever need a partner in crime... :rotfl: J.

My son and I are looking forward to cruising in May across the Atlantic. I reckon I will see him only for evening meals as he will be at the Vibe the rest of the time. Both our names are Damian, so that should make it easy to remember. He will be 17 at the time of the cruise, and I will not be 17. :-)

Just trying to decide if it would be better to pay the full amount off my holiday or wait. Not sure what I could gain by paying it all now other than the exchange rate is strong.

I have paid half the remaining balance but am still struggling as to whether I should pay in full. AAARRRGGHH Bank will charge me a bit too for the exchange rate.

Once you do it, you need not to think of it again

Just booked my flight home from Barcelona to Heathrow. I am all booked up for all the important stuff. Just need to get home from Heathrow (probably hire a car).:cool1:

I really should give a shout out to my DH too as he hates flying!!! He loved our first DCL cruise so much that he is willing to fly over 8 hours to get to Florida. He did say we would have to catch the train back, but I have finally talked him around to flying home too (2 hours 25mins). He is in my good books big time!!!

Since the statue in the atrium on Deck 3 of the MAGIC is Helmsman Mickey I wanted a logo for our cruise with him.

:flower3: Val did such a lovely job of the Steamboat Willie logo I did not want to hurt her feelings so asked if she would mind if I shared this and she said the more the merrier. :cheer2:

So
here you go. Use as you see fit. If anyone uses it or the Mickey Heads for FE gifts I would love to know. We do not do FE gifting so unless you send me a PM about it, I would never know and knowing is a way I can enjoy the fun.

Thanks!
Jan

We are going on this cruise again and expect to have even more fun than last year. My husband and I traveled with our 8 year old grandson and he insisted we rebook before we ever got off the ship. This time two more grandchildren are joining us. Everyone is looking forward to participating in all the activities with this group.

For those of you who haven't done a transatlantic before, you are in for the time of your life.

We keep changing our minds. But it looks as if we really will be sailing with you all! :cool1:

(I should refrain from ever posting on threads until after our PIF dates since we always seem to be changing what we're doing.)

Booked our flights to Orlando so we land on Saturday. We'll spend two nights at SSR, and then head to the ship. Also booked the hotel in Barcelona for a few days, as well as booked our flights home. So excited!!! Sitting pretty as it will ALL be paid off before we go.:cool1:
