EBTA 2014...Across the Atlantic we go!!!

I heard back from the shirt company in Berkeley and they do not have an open office. The good news is they've accepted my amended images and given me design numbers anyone can use. Unless I told you I had de-disneyed them I don't think you would even notice. I've gotten tees from Vista Print today, for the DCL Alaska cruise I am going on 7-8. When my TA test shirt comes I'll let you know how they compare. Vista will print anything - to bad they don't have colored shirts and only do embroidered polo's and jackets.
That's too bad they don't have a shop I can visit, but glad the design was accepted.

Sorry to hear about the drama on the WBTA. But from what PFlamgingo and StevenKay posted, it sounds as if it's been cleared up :goodvibes

We are thinking about flying to Paris, London, or Italy (to see Rome) from Barcelona, but we will only have 2 days to spend there. Does anyone have input for me that has been to Europe. Do you think it is doable? We would like to fly out of Barcelona early on Monday (2 days after the cruise drops us off) and then head back to the U.S. on Wed of the same week. I would love to see Paris for one day and then spend one day at Disneyland Paris. My other dream would be to see the sites in Rome (especially Vatican City). I don't want to go to more then one county (other than Barcelona) since I don't have much time, but I'm wondering if it is even worth it to squeeze another country in?

DH says he can see us going back to Europe. Maybe we can do Italy next time, so we can see more cities?

Any thoughts or ideas from experience? If so, what do you recommend?

That's a tough one, I'd say you really need to figure out where you may visit another time first ..... Are you likely to ever do a med cruise? If so you could see a few places in Italy then. Have you been to Barcelona before? It really is a beautiful city in itself. Europe is very accessible so a flight won't take long, Paris and DLP are doable in 2 days just remember it will be the weekend so will be busy.

We plan to see Barcelona over the weekend and then head someone else on Monday for a couple of days. I think I'm leaning more towards Paris, France now, but a part of me thinks that may be too exhausting?? Thank you for your input! :)

I am sorry that you are getting negative feedback ... personally if someone will put in the time and effort to do this for a group of people they do not know (and I for one am totally not capable of putting this together) I REALLY appreciate it!

That makes more sense, I totally mistook it that you were just going to bypass Barcelona doh!

Paris is one of my favorite cities I could go on and on about it, it will likely be exhausting .... but maybe worth it ;) I know some people this year used the train hotel from Paris to Barcelona which looked like a great way to go x

Is there anything in Paris that should not be missed?

For me number one would be the Notre Dame Cathedral, watch the Disney movie again however when you get there, go early! But don't go in go to the left hand side of the cathedral and queue at the small door that allows you to climb, it's not that bad, to see the bells and gargoyles of Notre Dame. I have done many sights in Paris, however this is a favourite of mine, you get to stand next all the gargoyles on the parapet. It's not scary and fairly cheap only 7 euro each, I think.

If you go to Disneyland Paris make sure you do "Crushes Coaster", it's one of Disney's best rides in any park.

You can't really go wrong, I like the way the city looks at night, taking a river cruise at night, visiting the Eiffel Tower when it all lights up, walking along the Champs Élysées. My favourite museum is the Musee D'Orsay. If you go make sure you take some time to hang out, I enjoy Luxembourg Gardens, in the evening a lot of locals will head to the banks of the seine with a bottle of wine and a picnic.... Ok told you I can go on about the place :p

Notre Dame, River boat on the Thames, Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, The Latin Quarter ... eat a chocolate crepe from one of the stalls there. Picnic in the Jardin de Luxembourg. All gorgeous.

Agree ...this is the best "thrill" ride in any of the Disney parks in my opinion .. but get there first thing as the park opens ...there are NO fastpasses.

We just booked for the transatlantic, but will have to cancel if I can't find reasonable airfare. Before we left for our recent Disney Alaska cruise, I was finding airfare from Barcelona to Kansas City for under $500 each. Now I can't find it for anywhere near that. I'm crossing my fingers I find a deal!

My kids at the time of the cruise will be:

Son age 14
Son age 11
Daughter age 6

This will be our third Disney cruise.

Look into Iceland Air. They don't have a quote right now from Barcelona-Denver, but they do go from Barcelona to Reykjavik, and there are flights to the US from Reykjavik. Many people on the EBTA last month tried Iceland air (we did not), but they said Iceland Air was offering free stopovers in Iceland for up to 7 days.

We are looking at going to Paris or London afterward. Iceland Air is quoting one way fares back to Denver from Paris at $525/person right now. I realize it's not KC, but we're close to you! :)

Hello, I'm aquaduck15! My family is considering going on the transatlantic. I have been to Barcelona before on a Mediterranean cruise but I have never been on the transatlantic. I have also been on the Panama Canal cruise and the Bahamas cruise. I look forward to talking to you soon!

We flew air luengis (spelling). Rates to Pittsburg were reasonable. We bought the tickets through orbitz. We have flown Swiss Air and Delta on previous trips back from Barcelona. Just keep looking frequently.

How many folks from EBTA 2013 are sailing the 2014 cruise. I've seen several familiar names.

I was trying to change our avitar using a picture from my i-phone. I've read the instructions and tried numerous times and can't manage it.:sad1:

Will some one explain it to me in plain English.

Thanks, Jennifer
