Hi, this is our first time leaving from Ebsfleet we usually go from St Pancras i was just wondering....

Is there somewhere to get a coffee at the station before and after you get checked in?

Is it easy to find where you check in?

When you get on the Eurostar (we are on the direct service) has anybody found it too busy that there is no room for luggage? we are taking 2 cases and a buggy and was worried that we will find it is difficult to find room for the luggage

Thanks

Yes there is a small coffee shop right down the bottom by the toilets where you can get a coffee before you check in. I arrived at the station at 7.40 and tried to go through but was told i needed to wait until 8.30 so i went and grabbed a drink. They have a tele there as well so you can watch that whilst you drink your drink.
Check in is very very easy to find, in fact you wont be able to miss it as it is in the centre of the building and cleary displays the eurostar signs.

After you have gone through there is a cafe nero ( i think) and a small newsagents. You can't sit inside the cafe nero as it is only small but you take them away and seat in the waiting lounge seats. The whole departure area is quite small but has everything you need.

As for cases on the train i did find in my carraige most of the racks were full with only the top one being spare. It was a bit of a struggle to hoist it up but some kind man saw me struggle and came and helped. It worth noting that at the end of my carriage there was another small rack which was almost empty so i could of in fact wheeled my case through and put it in there.

Hope that helps.

Thanks poppie123, there is only girls on this trip and none of us have muscles so hopefully a nice prince will come along and lift our luggage up for us too lol:rotfl2:.
My mum always insists on arriving at the station so early just incase there are any problems so it's good to know i can get coffee (not that i will need the buzz i'm off to Disney, i just can function without it he he:rotfl:)

ha ha i have just realized i have put Ebsfeet as the title instead of Ebsfleet lol:lmao: my ds was trying to crawl over my lap while i was trying to type

Are they definitely saying that the direct service stops at Ebbsfleet now then? We want to board from there (are booked to board from Ashford) but I was told by both Disney and Eurostar that the direct service does NOT stop at Ebbsfleet.

I have just done exactly what you want to do. I went on the 6th of January and my ticket was booked from Ashford, i boarded at Ebbsfleet no problem. The direct disney train leaves Ebbsfleet at 10.04am and returns at 20.59pm

If you are worried ring Eurostar and ask them if it stops there for your dates. If you book online on the Disney website it now gives you the option of Ebbsfleet if you add on the transport so i cant see why they are saying it doesn't stop there. It does!!

I have just booked my Eurostar tickets for June (direct train) and we again leave from Ebbsfleet. I had to ring and do it though as it would not let me book for June only going up until May. Strange thing is if i put in the dates i was travelling manually (not using the pop up date boxes) it would let me book it.

Hope that helps.

i hope it is the direct train as we did check that it was and disney confirmed this. The times are as what poppie123 said leaves Ebsfleet at 10:04. i'm worried now i may go and double check tomorrow when they are open and will let you know

The direct train definately leaves Ebbsfleet at 10.04. Dont worry you are on the right train. :goodvibes
I think the confusion stems from a post a few months back when it was said Ebbsfleet was going to be added in December 2009 as a stop on the direct train but there were conflicting reports. Some Eurostar staff knew others didn't becuase they hadn't checked their notes or simply hadn't been told. A few Disney employees didn't know either.

Thanks poppie123 that has made me feel better :thumbsup2 i'm on the phone to my mum now and she was panicking too lol:rotfl:

Thanks again

Oh that's good to know - sorry to worry you :) The Eurostar manager himself told me we couldn't get on at Ebbsfleet, though this was last year so it was obviously before they'd sorted it all out. Good to klnow that the option is on the website too now.

I am also planning to go via Ebbsfleet but I have terrified visions of standing on the platform and watching the train whizz straight past us :)

he he that's ok Tinkjon im easily worried lol:lmao:. Just spoke to Travel agent and they said it is deffinetly the direct service to dlp phew:)
