So a long long time ago when our FE group was still small, I thought it would be cute to make journals as the FE gifts for kids. I think I printed 10 before I figured out that it was a horrible idea. Anyways, I uploaded all of the journal pages I found from the disigners to my photobucket for anyone who would like a journal for the cruise. I put all the pages together in a PDF. If you rather have the PDF, PM me your email adress and I will email you the PDF.

*I have around 10 printed that I could bring if anyone would like an already printed one. Hate to waste them.....

The link isn't working for me.

Love the idea of nametags and Santa Mickey is my favourite! I can probably manage to print if we go the google docs route.

I am sure I could help. I have Photoshop, just need to get it loaded on my laptop, so much easier when I was at work!

I love the nametag designs! Santa Mickey is my fav:) If most people get lanyards, I don't think they need to be laminated. Tell me how to google doc and I'll try

Those sound AWESOME! All I need is another gadget!!!By chance is DD bringing them on this trip? I would love to check them out. I love taking videos of my adventures but I hate being on the video. That's why I like wearing the camera so much.
She might be planning to use them in DL or the ruins at Costa Maya (where you have to pay extra to bring in a video camera).... JESS, ARE YOU LURKING???

Still trying to figure out what to do in Cartagena. I thought the carriage ride excursion would be nice, but don't think DS will be all that well behaved for an hour in a slow moving vehicle, and neither he nor I would be interested in a slow moving walking tour. What have other people with younger kids signed up for?
The Segway tour looks interesting that a couple of you guys are doing, but I wouldn't want to do the fort and church. I think we would be willing to leave DS on the ship for something short, or bring him with if we did an excursion not too boring for a 5yo.

I do think I want to see a bit of the city, and set foot on land since I don't figure Colombia is a country we would ever go back to.

Sorry guys, I think I deleted it when I added the other pages. Let's try this again, shall we.

I like santa Mickey too - can you send me a copy of the graphic or let me know where to find it. I would like to play around with it.

Thanks,
tammy

Still trying to figure out what to do in Cartagena.

Cartagena: We haven't figured out Cartagena yet either (with 8 y/o and 6 y/o). I definitely don't want to pass up the opportunity to check out the old town -- it looks amazing so will have to find somethind kid friendly to do that permits us to check it out and me to snap photos of the architecture, etc.

FE: This will be our first time participating in an FE (on our other two Disney cruises we were oblivious -- but thought it was cool how decked out some people's made their doors) and so we're wondering if most people leave a little note with their FE (saying who its from and their stateroom) or whether this is usually more of an anonymous thing.

This is a personal decision. In the past the majority of the gifts we received did have the givers info on it, but we did receive some that were anonymous. We usually include our DIS name and regular names on our gifts, either on a tag or a postcard. Either way is fine, whatever you are comfortable with.

Thanks everyone or the birtdat greetings :goodvibes

WVUrunner is it ok if I claim 2 of the printed journals? Have had journals in the past and enjoyed filling them out each day. Would be very grateful.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

LOVE those! May I have a copy of the one with snowflakes around it please?

Must get serious about finding a sketch for the scrapbook meet. NOW.

Just lowered my hotel in San Pedro $25.00 a night. Unless you're at a Disney hotel, you might want to re-shop your rate every couple weeks until we go.

Happy Day, all!

The kids and I are doing the carriage ride. Of all the excursions, I thought they'd like that one the best. I know they will enjoy being pulled by horses but just in case they start to get bored, I was thinking about buying a couple disposable cameras for them to use while on the excursion. They can take whatever pics they want and I don't have to worry about them losing or breaking a good camera.

Linda, We're staying at the San Pedro on Dec 8, but I just checked and the rate is not lower for me, but glad you got one! :)

Anyone doing the salsa excursion in Costa Maya? Dd isn't old enough so my plan was to leave her on the ship with one of her brothers and I'll take one of my boys with me on the excursion. Now both boys are fighting over who gets to go on the excursion!! I'm not sure what to do now? I'm not sure I want to leave dd by herself on the ship.

Regardng the zip line - any idea of how much they will charge for the photos and video they take, want to figure this into our bueget.
Tammy

Looks like you view/order the photos from a website when you return home.

For anyone who was wondering, the video camera fee was $5. We got a slip of paper saying we paid it. No one ever asked to see it while we were walking around. No tripods are allowed for either camera or video camera. FYI.

We weren't sure what to do either as the kids would be bored with just a walking tour but we wanted to see some of the city and wanted the kids to see some of the city and get off the boat so that they could say they have been to South America. We decided on the Mangroves Caves Eco tour. I take the kids canoeing so I think they would enjoy that plus it includes a 30 minute dricing tour. It is only 3.5 hrs so we figured we explore on our own and drop the kids back in the kids club.

We are going the mangrove caves eco tour with a 9 and 6 y/o.

In the past, I normally printed a tag with our names, room # and dis name. This year, I went festive and made Christmas cards to include with our gift. I wanted them done early and since we are IGT and don't have a room #, I didn't include it. And since I was use to making Christmas cards without adding dis names, I forgot to add our dis name. The card just includes our last name and real names. opps.

I'll toss the sunglasses in my pile of stuff to bring!
Yay, looking forward to seeing what they look like and how they work.

Consider it a belated birthday present! I'll bring two for you

Great idea. I bet once you get their pictures developed, it will be intersting to see the excursion through "their eyes". I love how kids take pictures of things adults would never think to take. I gave my niece and nephew cameras to photodocument my wedding (and to keep them busy) and I love some of their photos!

I say leave all three on the ship and enjoy some Mommy time dancing and drinking! Or sign up both boys for now and hopefully DD will met a great friend on the cruise who will also be staying behind and if not, you can always cancel one or both of the boys a few days before.

On the FE note/tag question: Thanks for your responses. I think it's fun to give things anonymously, but I also think including name and room number will be a good way to get to know others and could make for a conversation ice breaker....

Noooo... I"m not lurking! :thumbsup2

Whew! I thought you might miss your goal of one post per cruise! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Same here.

Good idea about the camera for the kids. My mother got DS a digital camera for Christmas last year, and he gets some good pics. Will have to add that to the pack pile, plus the batteries it eats.
