A BIG thanks to Jeff and Tammy for doing the name tags !!! :cheer2:

I may have some extra Disney lanyards. I'll look in a week or so (they're in storage). If I do I'll let you know and if anyone wants them I'll bring them with me.

For those going to Paradise Village. It is very nice. I've sat in the lobby just doing internet stuff and have sailed out of the marina. If you're missing Starbucks then it's just a short walk down the road from the resort. Also there's a small Mall there with a grocery that has lots of products we are used to, but it's pricey.

I'm going to Paradise Village but I'm taking the bus. Our friends that are going with us have their sailboat there and we are going to check on it. Our sailboat (our home) will still be in LaPaz so it will have to wait till we get back. Our friends think we are crazy.....we will leave our boat and fly out of Cabo Dec 5th to board a boat Dec 9th to cruise back to Cabo. Then fly back to Cabo on Dec 28th to continue cruising Mexico on our boat.

In Cabo the best place for internet is the Starbucks a block off the marina. Downstairs looks small but upstairs is large with couches, chairs and a balcony with table and chairs. Just buy a coffee and the logon is on the receipt.

Questions about 2 excursions in Puerto Vallarta if anyone knows. Looking at the Pirate Ship adventure and the Paradise Village beach break. Anyone had experience with either of these? Pros? Cons? I'm wondering what all there is to do on the island with the Pirate Ship excursion.

Thank you

Linda

Well, if it helps your decision any, the Pirate Ship excursion isn't being offered for our sailing. We're apparently not in port long enough for them to be able to do it. It kinda bummed me out since that was the one I wanted to do as well.

Instead, I opted for the Banderas Bay Snorkeling Treasure Hunt. I haven't done it before though, so no review for you. It might be an option to consider though.

Thank you. It wasn't for this cruise...it's for the Thanksgiving trip 2 weeks before. I'm thinking the ocean may be too cold for me to enjoy on the Pirate Ship and Paradise Village has heated pools. I'm sorta convinced that I want to do Paradise Village but I've got to convince my sister who is on that trip with us.

I presume that these name tags will be no bigger, including any lamination, than the KTTW cards. My cruise lanyard is made specifically for the KTTW card and my passport card. Little wiggle room for anything else that's larger.

Sitting in MCO airport after a b2b Dream cruise and I cannot wait to be back on the Wonder! IMO, the customer service on the Wonder is soooooooo much better than the Dream. Won't be sailing her for a while.

And now I have like 30 pages to catch up with...

To an engineer, that sounds like a requirement! :)

Remind me, are the KTTW cruise cards the same size as the WDW room KTTW cards? I don't recall keeping a card from our previous cruises but I'll be getting a WDW KTTW card tonight that I can use for dimensions.

Yes.

Our family (9 of us) are extremely excited about this Disney EBPC Cruise and I've been inundated with many questions which I'd like to pass on. My daughter, mother of twin 4 year old granddaughters is asking--

Sleeping arrangements in an inside room. She knows where Mom and Dad will sleep but what about the kids. Does the couch open up into a bed? Is there a fold out upper bunk? Are bed rails available?

Do the pools provide flotation devices such as blow up rings or should she plan to bring their own?

She heard that one of the dinners is a Pirate Night. Are costumes available on the boat or should she plan to bring some.

I'm sure there will be more as we've begun the countdown.

Forgive me if some of these have been answered...catching up on about 10 pages of posts.

The couch will fold down into a bed, but only a twin bed. Essentially, the back of the couch folds down, and the mattress is behind it. So don't think of it as a traditional pull-out couch that is full or queen size. The second bed is the pull-down bunk over this couch. When both beds are made up, they essentially look like a set of twin bunk beds. There is a side rail on the top bunk, and I believe you can ask your stateroom host for another rail for the feet area if the parents are nervous about the child moving around a lot (I know I was the first time they slept up there!). There are many pictures of the beds set up on-line.

Pirate costumes for both girls and boys are available in the gift shop, however, as previously mentioned, they are expensive (think of full-price costume prices at the parks). They also have pirate Mickey & Minnie ears, and various accessories, including hook-hands, eye patches, etc. If your daughter can plan ahead, I would definitely say that is the way to go...especially with the costume discounts that will inevitably follow Halloween.

I've mentioned the name tags a few times - I'm glad that they're finally getting some traction. :cool1: We have a cold laminator and would be happy to crank out name tags for whomever wants them. I just paste them into a Word document and can get a dozen or so per page and then it's just a matter of trimming them up. I do like the Christmas theme too.

:earsboy: NAME TAG REQUESTS :earsgirl:

Jeff_Spencer has gracioulsy agreed to print name tags for us (Thanks Jeff) :cheer2:.

If you would like to order name tags for your family please use the link below to complete the order form.

Name tags will be distributed at the DIS meet on Sunday, Dec 9th.

Tammy
princess:

Thank you Tammy for creating the Google doc, and thank you Jeff for printing!

It would be easiest to do one; however, it's not that much trouble to do any of the ones posted earlier. If Tammy can alter the Google doc so that each person can select one of the different options (Pooh, Mickey, DCL-flakes, DCL-lights, Donald, Pluto), that'd be fine with me. Wife (Susan) and I can crank them out in no time.

My vote is for simplicity - I think it would nice (and a heck of alot easier) to keep them all the same. I think the majority liked the Santa Mickey.

I agree about simplicity and appreciate the generosity of your time and talents to put those together. Whatever design you select is fine with us.

Thank you so much for doing the name tags. I know they are going to look great! Are people using first names only or are they including last names?

We've only used first names before. There isn't that much room on the tags, especially with a larger print.

I filled out the form with my full name so just use my first name only and we should be good to go!!

Huge thanks to Tammy & Jeff!

Thanks to our name tag heros! I will be thrilled with any design. :worship: I have about ten or so plain black lanyards, and maybe 10 more various new Castaway Club lanyards I can bring for any new cruisers who won't get one at boarding, if needed.

Same for me. I included last names but you can ignore those if we are just going with first only, which makes sense.

My thanks as well to all the creative and generous people. I liked all the tag options and would be happy with any of them. I would also appreciate three lanyards Liz, as I take it, us first timers don't get one. I am finding more and more reasons to become a regular Disney Cruiser!!
