Yes, you can edit it later. I have to go back and edit a few things too. I just wanted to get my check in time. :thumbsup2

Did it! We have the 11.00 - 11.30 port arrival time!
Time to do some happy dancing!!!

Yes - finally got in, also got 11am arrival, then had all excursions booked...and then the site crashed on me! Arghh, half an hour later I was back in, and this time I confirmed each activity as I booked it - I can't believe I didn't remember to do this!

Ah well, got all the bookings we wanted, so all my stress :furious: was for nothing!

Now I'm happy....:mickeyjum

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

I get so jealous everytime another group gets to add their excursions. But us newbies only have to wait another 15 days, so I suppose I can survive. Atleast I will be at work all night so I don't have to worry about staying up for it, I can just keep a disney screen open on my computer!

You're in California, right? You only have to stay up until 9 pm:rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure on the Disney site after you're in there, you have to wait half an hour before you can get in again.

Really, I don't think this cruise is so full that you really need to stress about it! And there's lots of sea days, so Palo should be available at some point for everyone.

Looking forward to my morning coffee in the Cove Cafe :)

Happy Day, all!

I went to bed last night while DH decided to stay awake till midnight to book everything. I was woken up at 12:05AM by DH's yelling. Of course the disney website wasn't working, just like he knew it wouldn't. Finally, he somehow found a work around one of the greyed out boxes and was able to book our palo and port adventures. He still couldn't get into on-line check-in. Finally the yelling at the computer stopped when he decided to give up and crawl into bed at 3AM. It was not a pleasant morning when the alarm went off at 5AM. The only thing DH said this morning to me was, Thanks to Disney, I will NOT be having a magical day! So much drama in that man's life. We were able to get everything we wanted. We will try to check-in at another point today. This morning was not a good start to our one year anniversary!

Thanks for the well wishes!! Luckily I'm more uncomfortable at this point just waiting until time for the surgery. At least I'll be very motivated with therapy!!

Congrats to everyone with their excursions and Palo! It's always nice to have that done.

We booked our excursions and Palo reservations!! We got 11-11:30 port time arrival!! So excited!!

Oh, boy! :crazy2: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ANYWAY!

Yep, we were also having trouble, but I used the drop-down box under My Reservation to access My Activities, thanks to advice from other Dissers who had the same problem recently (since DCL changed the website). But there was no way to check-in at the same time. I don't know what time it switched over, but I was able to reserve Palo and a spa appt. right after 12am, then had to check-in this morning. Got the 11-11:30am arrival time for both of our parties, so there must be lots of availability at this point.

You would think DCL would fix this to save us poor consumers from pulling our hair out in the middle of the night!!! :surfweb: :badpc::badpc::badpc: !!!!

It seems like most everyone is getting the 11-11:30 check in times. Does that mean the cruise really isn't that booked? Or that only Dis-ers are actually checking in right at their first opportunity.

Lina- Yes I am in California, but will be driving to work at 9pm. I can only imagine walking into work, signing in then telling my coworkers I can't actually start to work for a bit while I take care of something more important- getting things done for my cruise! But I am alone 2hrs later and have all night to do it.

Well I haven't had a very good week. On Monday I was helping stranded refugees escape from an active volcano when I fell and completely tore my ACL and also have a torn mencisus. (It's possible I fell off a stool doing yard work but I think the volcano sounds better). As I was laying there my first thought was this had better not impact my cruise (it was closely followed by wow, this hurts). So now I have surgery scheduled for October 1st, I'm really hoping to be good for the cruise.

So sorry! Thankfully you are having the surgery sooner rather than later and you will hopefully be through rehab by the time we sail.

Silver members tonight is the night!!!
Can't wait to check in!!!!
Hope to find the 11.00-11.30 arrival time still there!!!
Just checked cruisefish and we have still 58% free rooms onboard!!!

Going to sleep now, tomorrow @ 06.00 am time to check in!!!!
(Doing the happy dance)

~ Thank you so much for sharing cruisefish. You learn something new everyday. While I will be okay with our room assignments I have on this cruise and our Thanksgiving cruise, it's nice to see there might be some room for me to move up.

Like Manon_Paul_Nina said, cruisefish has our cruise has 58% availability. I think a lot of people who are booked on the west coast cruises aren't familiar with the check-in procedure and put it off until the last minute. Of course, us diser's know better than to put it off. ::yes::

Well, silly me... I knew check-in was last night for silver and then completely forgot about it. So here I am past noon today, doing it!

One thing I'm kinda bummed about.... I was planning on doing the Pirate Boat Sail & Snorkel Adventure in PV and it's not an option. I don't think that it's because it is sold out...as I see the Canopy Adventure listed, but grayed out as "sold out." So it seems that they're just not offering it on our cruise.

By the time I just finished registering at 12:30pm Eastern today, the 11:00-11:30 window was closed and I was able to choose 11:30-12:00pm window for my port arrival time.

Excursion to the Kohunlich ruins in Costa Maya booked and Palo brunch booked although I'm still not sure about the day...
I did the check in although we don't have final flight info yet. We got an 11:30 port time which is fine. Can't believe we are only 90 days away! :beach:

My girls wanted to do the Pirate Boat Sail too but the tour time is 6 - 6.5 hours and we are only in port for a little over 5 hours. We had the same issue with the Tropical Rainforest by Horseback (that was their second choice) so we ended up Horseback riding in Cabo instead. Good thing the girls were still awake.

Just finished check in (needed to get flight info) and earliest port arrival time was 2:30 :(. We will arrive earlier and hope to get on board earlier. Last Jan, the terminal didn't even check and we were able to just get in line. The port in LA is much less "welcoming" than Port Canaveral but who cares as long as it's a Disney ship you are boarding:)

I believe that the later check is because of your flight information. If you try putting in that you are driving to port, I'm pretty sure an earlier arrival time will be available. You can then go back and enter your flight info.

Well, I'm so behind on reading posts I doubt I will ever catch up. I tried to book things at 10pm MST last night and it wasn't opened yet. I was tired so I went to bed. I was able to get on this morning, though. I booked DD into the nursery for every single night for the last hour of dinner (or what I think is the last hour, since the dining times are not posted anywhere or are not very specific). And DH and I got brunch at Palo on the canal day. I thought I read it was nice because you get a great view from Palo. Booking was no problem, all times seemed wide open.

I did not book us a Palo dinner, but, again, all times were wide open when I looked. We might add a dinner later but are not in any rush. If brunch is all we do, that's fine. And the odds of both kids staying put in childcare for 2 hours are better in the morning than at dinner time.

I don't think we are doing any of Disney's Port Adventures, though I may take another look.

I didn't realize we could book a Port Arrival time! Question: is that a boarding time, or the time you can get into the port building in the first place? We have 14 days on the ship, so I'm not so much in a hurry to get on. We more wanted to try for a port upgrade.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

It's the time they want you to show up to get in the port building, so that they're not slammed with people the first hour.

For the Hawaii cruise, nobody got to board until after 12, and it took over half an hour from passport scan down the ramp to the name announcement. There was nothing to eat, drink, or look at in the port building, nor was there enough seating for the number of people crammed in there. It was horrible.

Last night, I booked the Canopy Adventure in PV (zipline), and it was available.

Finished adding our port adventures. In Cabo it will be a bucket of beer, chips, and salsa at an establishment in the harbor area. In PV it will be the Mexican Cooking adventure. In Cartagena, it will be the Old Town walking/bus tour, and in Costa Maya it will be the Chacchoben ruins. We have planned to do a Palo brunch on the first Sunday of the cruise.

As far as money is concerned, I know that in Cabo and PV, the dollar is just fine as well as credit cards (not always AMEX though). But what about in Costa Maya or Cartagena?
