For those platinum members who have already booked, do you know if there is any kind of ziplining tour in Puerto Vallarta? The one listed seemed too long for our day there, so didn't know if they would still be offering it. Two more weeks until we can book

Yes, the Platinum date is August 11th, but this platinum will *NOT* be up at midnight to book anything! If I get it, I get it (whatever IT is) and if I don't, then I will on the ship.

So, did you book anything?

My mom has Alzheimer's and is in a nursing home. I'm glad Dad has agreed to go with us, but I also know that he has mixed emotions about vacationing without her.

Alzheimers Sucks. Just sucks. My 91-yr-old MIL is afflicted, as well, but is still being managed at home. I work in a skilled facility and deal with dementia all the time, so it's business as usual for me , but it's still incredibly sad to see someone struggle as they "slide down that slippery slope". I hope your dad realizes he needs to take a break occasionally, or his own health will suffer (and that won't do Mom any good, either).

Well, today I started my training as a travel agent I am interning at a friend's agency and the first thing I started doing was the College of Disney Knowledge! It will take a bit of time, but hopefully I'll be able to complete it fairly soon. My first section I completed was none other than DCL! I had hoped I would pass the test easily and it turns out I did. It was a fun day to get back to work after so long!

I just said to DH yesterday that I didn't really care if we did Palo dinner; I prefer brunch. He looked absolutely crestfallen and told me Palo dinner was one of the highlights of his cruise. Yes, we will definitely be doing both!!!


DH and I had fun shopping today...picked up FE gift supplies, as well as frames with large mats for character signatures (one for you, too, PINKPUG!). Great deals at JoAnn's. Also stopped at AAA to get CA tourbook and map for our pre-cruise days in LA. The fun continues.....

Since we're cruise newbies, we are the last to book anything online. Is Palo usually completely sold out? Also, do they hold back a some bookings for after you board?

I'm wondering with 10 sea days do they offer Palo Brunch for all 10 sea days? And yes, they do hold some bookings so you can book or change a ressie.

We like brunch better than dinner too.

If we can manage, we will do brunch twice - it's my favorite meal on the ship and I LOOOOOOVE being able to eat all the caviar I want. .

Ditto here! We just booked a Pacific Coast cruise and Palo brunch is all sold out. I'm trying to arrange a group Palo in the private room on that cruise just as Julie is on this one.

Tour of The Rosario Islands 6 to 6.5 Hours

Thanks for posting this list. Has anyone seen the Tour of Rosario Islands excursion? Anyone done it? It sounds like a good tour with nice reviews but I can't tell if it is the same tour that I am reading about online because the DCL tour doesn't mention visiting an aquarium.

At any rate, this looks interesting to me and will probably hold the interest of my dd.

Thank you, Linda for posting the tours...that helps so much! Now I just can't wait for Aug 25 at 9:00pm! I still don't know when we will book Palo dinner, but I figure I will just pick one of the sea days for now and can always change it (hopefully) if we want to.

Another big thanks to Linda for posting the excusions. We can't book until end of September, and are considering the PV zipline excursion as well. I haven't decided if I am comfortable leaving my son on the ship "alone" for that long though.

I have been keeping up to date with all the posts, but not posting as I have just gotten a new job as a Fitness Manager and been very busy! I have managed to get all I need for the FE gifts tho. Cant wait to be able to look at all the excursions in a couple weeks, it will make the cruise seem that much closer!

I would suggest NOT attempting to add a second brunch until you get on board - you can only book 1 in advance and you will need to give the group brunch your reservation number, so they *will* know if you try it.

There will likely be brunch on all sea days so you can eat to your heart's delight.

Busy day here - breakfast with a friend at 8, open house with CM dealer at 2, ice cream with another friend at some point, farmers market . . . wish I could spread things out a little more.

Someone answered this for me a few weeks ago - $349 and $399 with all the 8x10 prints. Ouch!

My favorites from brunch are the grape/gorgonzola cheese pizza, the blue cheese/walnut bread, all the different cheese and crackers, marinated mushrooms and artichokes....the list could go on, my mouth is watering! I hope the Dream has all the same goodies when I have brunch on her in a few weeks from now!
