:

I didn't have to work yesterday, so I spent a very unhealthy amount of time online, trip planning....and I used to lecture DD about the amount of time she spent on the computer!

I booked flights, as well as a hotel in Phila. for the night before we leave (8am flight and 2.5 hr. drive to get to PHL). Also arranged our Costa Maya tour, but I'm not sure about Cartagena yet. I'm just a bit concerned about the amt. of walking my mother will have to do, but may book a private tour with the same woman Linda is using. We booked the "Mayan Experience" tour with Native Choice; they didn't have the Wonder in their booking system but added it when I inquired, so anyone can book online now....VERY prompt response from Ivan and very cordial.

I think Cabo will be a taxi ride into town and a slow walk back, just shopping and having lunch somewhere. PV, I haven't decided whether to taxi it to the downtown area or arrange a short private tour...we won't be in port that long.

Has anyone been to PV before? Details?

We are two adults, two young children, and would like to see some of Cartagena. The tour mentioned previously is too long for our little ones. Plus, we would like one with not a lot of walking, because that means a lot of carrying tired children for us. So, something shorter, minus the hour for shopping, would work for us.

I noticed on the June 11 Alaskan navigator that Shutters cd price was $349.99 for all photos including borders and for $399.99 you could get the cd with borders and all of your prints. Is this new and will this be the new cd pricing and package for all future Wonder cruises? (sorry if this has already been discussed on another thread, I couldn't find anything)

TIA

Saw this on the main forum. Let's hope the price holds for our cruise. I mean, they really couldn't charge more for this, could they?

Cabo we're just going to get a water taxi and go out to Lover's Beach, then maybe get some food in town (not worried about eating off the street in Mexico as we've done in China, Kazakhstan, and Morocco).

Just a FYI. We were in Cabo in April 2011 and they no longer allow water taxis to go to Lover's Beach. Apparently too many people were getting injuried getting on/off the taxis.

My suspicion would be that the Port adventures available in Cabo San Lucas and Puerta Vallarta would be very similar to the ones offered on the Mexican Riviera cruises, with the longer ones perhaps omitted due to the earlier departures.

Likewise, costa Maya adventures and Cartagena can also be found. (Nothing under Cartagena yet, but the placeholder is there)

Port adventures can be searched on the Disney Cruise line website under the heading Cruises & Destinations, then select Port Adventures from the second column - then the port in question.

I put a couple of links up on the Excursions page of the web site. If you click on the Cartagena image it'll take you to several links. Looking on Tripadvisor and cruise discussion boards Guianza Express has excellent ratings and is tailorable. Dora De Zubiria also gets really good reviews. Those who have done Segway tours may be interested in that tour. My family did one in Barcelona Spain and it was one of the highlights of our entire Med. trip.

I want to say for the Hawaii cruise that the cd was $499. So it may be similar on this cruise. They didn't give the option to purchase all the pics printed but it sounds like they have started that all on the ships now.

ETA: Nevermind! I just checked my navigator and see that is was $399!

Thank you for the leads, I will check them out! The Disney Port Adventures Cartagena page still shows nothing on excursions, and they only have the general ones listed for PV, most of which are too long for the short time we are there.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Puerta Vallarta - has a lovely downtown and paved seaside walk just a short taxi ride (or long walk) from port.

"My" Cartagena tour still has 4 spaces left, but, as the poster above noted, it's probably more suitable for the 'teenage to adult' age range. PM if interested.

Happy Planning!

We are first time Disney Cruisers and I have lots of questions. I won't ask them all at once but here is my first one. I saw the cruise trip calculator for staff on the wonderful website ,can we pay that before we even leave LA by credit card?

Yes, you can prepay your tips before the cruise. The "recommended" amount will automatically be added to your bill otherwise; however, you have the opportunity to go to Guest Services during the cruise and modify as required.

Thanks for this info. Will have to look for an alternative to this. Still getting out taco in town, though.

I'm seriously considering recusing myself from the group brunch, even though it's my project. It seems I mislead someone about a place available/didn't respond in a timely fashion that it was filled up, so I think the right thing to do is take myself and family out of it and give our spaces to them.

Is there anyone to whom I confirmed via pm who's willing to take over?

Thanks, and apologize for this monumental screw up.

OK, phew, I think I am caught up but may have missed some details....any help is appreciated.

I'm 99% sure I have done what I need to do to be included in the FE, the certificates, and the Costa Maya ruins tour. We would also be interested in a cabin crawl.

I am usually on the FB group every day, so I'm caught up in that sense.

I love the Mickey Ears map graphic and the other one of the ship. What are those for? Can we download them? I am a digital scrapbooker, and I also make a little stand-up cardboard thing for us to count down our days until the cruise. I need new PC-related images for it.

We are totally interested in the SAS shuttle from the port to FLL, but only if they can provide car seats. I don't even mind paying a small fee. We are just trying as hard as we can to avoid lugging ours with us.

Otherwise, our plans are coming along nicely! Re-booked IGT and saved another $800. Got all of our flights taken care of with miles. We are arriving at LAX one day prior, in the afternoon and taking a car service (Alexis Limo & Sedan, they provide car seats) to the Crown Plaza in San Pedro. Once there, we hope to ride the red trolley cars and explore the area a bit. We fly home from FLL on the 23rd, but not until after 5pm, so we have some time to kill. Still exploring ground transfer options for Miami to FLL.

I look forward to finalizing our plans and getting our FE and gifts ready!

Oh, does anyone know how seating works in the MDR? On our last and only DCL cruise, it was just DH, Grandma, DS and myself at our table. I found out tonight that DH assumed that all parties were seated separately and he didn't realize we could end up seated with strangers. Do families of four normally get seated alone?

I'm so sorry you are in this position but I'd hate to see you not have your brunch because of a slight error (not monumental!!) on whoevers part. Maybe wait until people can start to book Palo and then if someone on your list can get a spot, then they can be removed from the group brunch and then the group brunch won't be overbooked. From what I was told on the Hawaii cruise was if you are booked on a group brunch, it will cancel out any individual brunch reservation made.

If you booked through a Travel Agent, have him/her call DCL to put in a request that you have your own table or call DCL yourself and put in the request if you booked online. You won't know if you get it until the cruise. We did not request our own table for our December cruise, but got one anyway for our family of 3 at the late seating, so it certainly is possible for a family of four.

Welcome aboard! Yes, those are free to use - look at our cruise website that Jeff Spencer so kindly made for a link to the originals. Lots of people also use them for magnets to put on the door.

You should probably go to their website and make a tentative reservation which will open an email conversation with the owner. They use 15 passenger vans or larger, depending on demand.

Not usually - Disney has an uncanny way of seating you with families of similar composition. But i'm sure your TA could request a table just for y'all. The only time I've ever experienced just my party at a table alone was when one of the people had Celiac, and I think they probably felt it would be easier to keep her safe at a smaller table.

Turns out two of the parties on "my" Cartegena tour are 'tentative' so I may have more spaces available than I thought. If they drop, we are all adults. PM if you are interested.

Happy Day, all!

I'm confused. :confused3

I've booked three separate Palo brunches before in the private dining room for DIS groups on a single cruise. Are you saying Disney only has one slot left or that you only planned to book one brunch? If you need someone else to do it I'd be happy to but you may not have a problem. :)

I have a question and dont know if anybody could tell me how it works!
We have applied for ESTA last year when we did the WBTA, do we need to apply for new ESTAs or can we use the ones from last year (because they are legal for 2 years)
