thanks everyone...haven't quite decided if we will use them the day before the cruise or not...we'll have to decide that later, but since we are already leaving the boys for two weeks, we may take them some other time instead. But, for those of you who live in California, here is the link to the contest:

https://cocacola.promo.eprize.com/familyfun/ralphs

There is also one for Arizona residents:

Good luck if you decide to play. (Sorry for all of you who do not live in either state!)

We have just booked:goodvibes I am soo excited! I have given my information for the roll call and the fish extender and can't wait to hear how many are participating in the FE. I haven't had a chance to read all of the posts yet, but wanted to say hi!

We live in CA and have two kiddos: DD age 6 and DS age 4. My name yucaipagal is actually from the name of our town- Yucaipa (pronounced you-ki-pa.

I look forward to reading the posts and catching up and seeing all of you in seven months!

Hey, I know that town! we used to work at a race shop down there and raced at Orange Show Speedway! Welcome aboard! This cruise is going to be fantastic! :)

Welcome aboard! We pass Yucaipa on our way down to visit my parents in Palm Desert! Glad you have signed up for the FE also...we love doing it. I am already trying to plan out what I am doing...I have to force myself not to do anything yet though until we know how many are participating. I also have to decide which FE I am going to bring with us. I have a Christmas one and another one that I can use anytime of the year. I think I like the more generic one better, but I won't have too many opportunities to use the Christmas one...oh the decisions I am faced with!

Thank you! On our last Disney cruise no one could figure out Yucaipa and all thought we were crazy to fly to FL when their was a cruise out of CA. I loved the time change and that my kids stayed on CA time and got to stay up late and sleep in:)

My husband commutes to Palm Desert for work, so he knows that drive well:thumbsup2 We absolutely loved the FE on our last and first Disney cruise in March. It was a highlight of our trip and I can't wait to get started on this one:cool1:

Welcome! We have a DD who will be 6 and a DS who will be 4 on the cruise too!

I saw that and was sooo excited because I was concerned when we booked that their wouldn't be playmates for my little ones. Then again this is Disney so I am sure that the Club/Lab will be packed:) I can't wait for them all to meet!

Thanks!!

:welcome: yucaipagirl!

I haven't been in Disneyland since I think 1990? Somewhere around there. Can't wait to see it again, and DCA. The kids have never been, so it'll be a great time. How are the crowds that time of year? DW is usually pretty empty.

Will be going back through the messages to see who had an interest in the Chaccobean tour, and will pm everyone to double check in the next few days. Just been busy here with dh's new job, all of the little kids' appointments and finishing up school. Hopefully by the end of May, things will have simmered down.

It is the perfect time of year to visit DL and DCA. We usually make sure to plan a visit around then because you can almost walk on to most of the rides:thumbsup2 and the Christmas decorations are up- have fun!!

I'm thinking a Mini-Meet before sailing at DL might be in order. :goodvibes

I think a mini meet at DL sounds fun! The atmosphere there is neat there at that time. We usually don't go much in the summer but come Halloween time thru Christmas we practically live there!

OK I'm jealous of all of you who live so close to DL - we have Hersheypark in our backyard, but I don't spend much time there and it doesn't compare to DL or DW

I'm taking dd to see Big Time Rush at Hersheypark this summer...reminds me to buy my ear plugs now....

Anyone here going to the 50th celebration of Fantasmic for annual passholders this week or next? We are going next Monday (21st).

I just sent a request to join the Facebook group, so please accept me, whoever is in charge of that!

I am interested in the FE gift exchange. I am new to that, so, let me see if I have this....
Some families might choose to make several small gifts and give one to each person in all of the other cabins and even deliver on several different days. But others might make one large gift for the entire cabin and just make that one delivery. Or it could be anything in between. Is that correct?

Yep, that's about it :thumbsup2. Some people deliver small things more than once to every cabin on their list (like port-specific magnets or postcards delivered on the days we're in each port), while others deliver once (esp. for bigger gifts like tote bags, jewelry items, etc). On our last cruise (WBTA), my DD made fabric bottle covers, and I made little decorated tins full of personalized m&m's (in addition to candy for a candy swap). We made bags for each child with age-appropriate things, but the covers/candy tins were per cabin, not per person. Regardless of what you decide, it is sooo much fun :cool1: just to find goodies in your FE every day. My DH is like a big kid, and he enjoys it just as much as any child does! We both like walking the ship to make the deliveries, if only to see everyone's door decorations and FEs (a good excuse for exercise, too ::yes::).

Yep, you got it - you decide! There are alot of threads out there about the type of gifts that people have given - for us we like to give things that pertain to our local area!

OK, thanks for the info on the FE! I need to go back and look for all the various things to sign up for and get our activities squared away.

Speaking of activity...who plans on doing some kind of exercise while on the ship? DH and I were just laughing about a memory from our honeymoon resort....I'd never been on a vacation like that, and I looked up and saw a huge glass window lined with treadmills and the like and I said, "Who would want to exercise while on vacation?"

But, 14 full days of meals on the ship is too much gluttony, even for me. So, exercise it is. I reviewed that section of the DCL website but it was pretty brief. Does anyone know what the cost is for using the gym (just alone, no trainer) or taking the classes?

There's no charge to use the gym. It's actually relaxing. The girls bring their soccer ball and we go up on top and play soccer and basketball. We also try to avoid using the elevator and use the stairs when we can. I'm not into running but my little on (Autumn) is so she'll go to deck 4 and run it 3 times for a mile. She was surprised how much longer it took her to run a mile on board as compared to at the beach. If you go in the morning there aren't as many people. :crowded: Same thing with the gym. I always seem to be hungrier and eat more when I exercise so that's a win - win for me! :rotfl:

The girls are counting the days till we sail. :hourglass (208 if you've lost count) Last week Summer had 212 written on her hand. :cloud9: It's going to be a long 7 months.
