Hi everyone,

i'm still looking for flights for our holiday to the mouse in October, we fly 6th to 20th Oct MAN - MCO. Today I have found flights on ebookers which are the cheapest i've seen, for wo of us it is £1092.46 with US Airways changing in PHL.

Has anyone used ebookers before to book flights? have you had any problems? I was hoping to book direct but the flight price is £1,368.48 direct with US

I had set a max price of £1000 for the two flights but this doesn't seem likely for October, plus you can have 18k of hand luggage with US so we wouldn't need to pay for extra luggage.

Thanks in advance, em x

Can't help with flights, I'm afraid, as I've only ever uses them for hotels and had no problems. I just wanted to say don't forget Quidco if you do book through Ebookers, it's only1.4% but better than nothing ;)

Not to Florida, but I've used them for flights before, including longhaul and the transactions have gone like clockwork. It's been a few years since I booked through them but when I did, I never had any problems at all :thumbsup2

I have booked flights thru them for this August, well I booked our reward seats direct with Delta but I booked 3 seats for relatives with Ebookers as they were cheaper that direct with Delta.
Only problem we have had is when Delta cancelled the Man to New York route, I rang Delta direct to change ours to the Atlanta route no problem, they let me pick any route I wanted. Ebookers on the other hand said our relatives had to take their choice of replacement route, I told them I wanted to choose my own route and the exact flight I wanted (to match our reward seats) they were not happy about it, probably because they were a lot more expensive to book than the ones they offered us. Eventually I told them what I wanted and they said they would ring Delta. After almost a week of calls they agreed to the seats I wanted but it was a bit of a nightmare compared to our seats direct with Delta.

I think when things don't go according to plan, it is always easier to deal directly with the airline. Third party companies and agents introduce one small hiccup: communication!

Usually things go smoothly - it's like anything really I suppose: only when there is a problem do you really find out how good the service is

FWIW, if ebookers are offering a decent saving over booking direct or through another company, I wouldn't turn it down unless any information comes to light that causes you serious concerns.

Fully agree, I would 100% use Ebookers again even if only a £50 saving, chances are there will be no problem on the next booking, it was only because Delta pulled a route, that doesn't happen very often. I can also access Delta seat plans direct no problem, don't need to go via Ebookers.

Thank you all, I have booked the flights with ebookers, i've been able to log into US Airways and see our seat allocation and will be able to do online check-in, hopefully there won't be any changes to our flights and everything will go to plan, I also made sure I used Quidco I know it's only a tiny saving but it's better in my pocket :rotfl2:
