I have never used this before, but, do I still have to check-in to get good seats or is that done for me and all I have to do is check-in (anytime) to print boarding passes. Tia

You will automatically be checked in at the 36 hour before flight time. You will then still go thru the steps like you were checking in at 'normally' to print your boarding passes. You can do it anywhere from t-24 like normal up til you get to the airport. You just wont know what BP you have til you print them. But they wont change #'s.
