Is this standard procedure for Ebay-I need to change my email address and they sent an email asking for my credit card info. to confirm who I am. I just want to change my email address but they won't do it without this info. Anyone familiar with this?

That does not sound right. I just changed my email address with them recently and they did not ask for that information.

Absolutely not. You don't need to submit this info to change your email address. I would contact Ebay customer support about this.

I have to agree with the rest on this! I have changed my email address twice and Ebay never asked me for my CC info! I would definitely alert Ebay authorities about this! I believe a while back, I remember reading about how someone was doing this to Ebay users, trying to gain CC information...Absolutely do not give this out!! Ebay would never ask for it!!

I have changed my email address and was never asked for CC info. DO NOT give it out. Ebay would never ask you for that info.
