I love ebay for buying disney pins. cheep and can find alot for a good price.
Anyone else use ebay to buy diseny items?

I shy away from Disney pins on Ebay, I've read on this board alot of these pins are not authetic Disney pins but look alike knock-offs. I've read some about trading these knock-offs for real pins has caused a commotion, real park Disney pins, paying a few buck for then getting a knock-off that cost a few cents. I'ld beware but if you're not planning on trading, just for yourself, yeah, go ahead but I'ld rather make sure I got what I wanted. Sometimes something cheap, ebay pins, isn't a good thing.

If you would like more opinions on this
you could ask on our community board:)

yeah i looked on ebay also
way to expensive,
i got mine at the disney outlet in orlando
great prices
:happytv:

We are always on ebay hunting for something or another.

We have bought a fair few pins off there and have saved ourselves a few pennies.

Also bought some really nice lanyards to for our upcoming trip,to expensive to buy there for our lot lol

I too always check ebay for Disney things.. I havent gotten into the pins but who knows what the future will hold. I am always on there looking for stuff for the holidays... and I also noticed that craigs list has great disney things too.. ;)

The person I am trading with has real pins. I have checked. I saw the pins. I saw the references for this seler. I have e-mailed a person that has bought from they. I once I get the pins I will tell you how it worked. If the sale goes well I will leave her name here. So everyone will know she is worthing to buy from.

Not sure about the pins, I haven't purchased any from Ebay yet. However, watch out for the lanyards. I ordered 2 lanyards and they both came to me with a "flaw". When you put the lanyard on, one side of the cartoons are right side up and the other side they are upside down!!! Apparently they were sewed on wrong or something. I've never bought one before so I started thinking .....maybe they are all like that. So, I stupidly left positive feedback and kept the lanyards. I've now been looking at pictures and noticed that NO they are NOT supposed to be like that. So, beware!! I've seen MANY on ebay like this. And the sad part is that they take the picture in such a way as to hide the flaw.:sad2:

I know I have lanyards. So i don't need to buy them. The pins I am buying i have check feedback. I aslo email people they sold to.

I always buy on ebay. Never any problems. You just have to check the feedback. That will tell it all.

I just received some pins last week that I purchased on ebay and I am very pleased! I was careful to double check the sellers feedback before I purchased.
I would definitely buy off ebay again. It saved me quite a bit of money and my daughters are both set with pins to trade during our trip in December.

I hope your ebay experience is good as well.

On buying pins:

The first thing I should do is send you to the two following sites-

Pin Pics for information about the pins, go to pinpics.com (sorry, it wouldn't let me post the link.

For forums on collecting pins, a place to check references on pin traders go to dizpins.com.

Each of these is as useful for Disney Pins as these boards are for Disney.

I have both bought and sold pins on ebay. As others have said, check references, know your pins, ask questions. Oh, at DSL this summer, the pin thing was really low key, almost nonexistant. Don't know if WDW is the same. Also, like beanie babies and Pokemon trading cards, pin prices can be silly. Be sensible.

Good Luck.

I just got a Hallmark collectable ornament *one of the 2001 Cinderella* for DD for her new Pink Christmas tree as I would love to do it in Disney ornaments... slowly....

I like Ebay.

I love eBay for pins, but you have to be careful, if you check out pinpics.com, they give you the list of pins that are currently counterfitted out there. But other than that, keep it up!
