ebay surprise find

Would all of his details be on the pass? I was thinking that it could encourage identity theft. If not, then I suppose it's pretty enterprising! He'd better hope that Royal Mail doesn't lose it though!:rotfl:

It's definitely a bad thing and breaking Disney rules - passes are non transferable full stop.

im sorry but what an idiot im sure if there was a random check done at any point then the pass will be took off the person!!
Cant believe anybody would actually pay it either ????
Its Idiots like this that makes thing change as soon as Disney get wind of this im sure they will introduce photo id for every perk !!!

It really makes me mad when people break the rules like this. It makes it so much harder for "normal" people. As PP suggested, Disney will probably require ID for all AP uses now. I enjoy the freedom of carrying only tickets at WDW, that will change soon I imagine. It was the same with Fastpasses and Cinderella's Royal Table ADRs. A few "enterprising" (I call them greedy) people sold them for a profit and Disney changed the way they worked :sad2:

Just shows that because of the price of parking folks will look for any wheeze.

Can't believe that the person would risk their AP like this :confused3

Sounds like he won't be using it any more so probably not bothered if it gets confiscated. No doubt Disney will stop it.

100% feedback the seller has and already sold 4 of these.

Not endorsing this and would never dream of doing this with my pass but i have to say that actually i think this is ingenious, and someone could save a fortune, very clever!:cool1:

I wonder if anyone staying at a Disney hotel will buy it when they don't have to pay for the parking in the first place.

I have seen this before, can't believe anyone would risk their pass like this. I am sure someone will try get in the parks with it at some point. What then if its confiscated? must be against Disney rules. I am all for saving money and making money where possible but this looks like a big risk all way round.

I guess it comes down to the individual and their own moral compass regarding what constitutes stealing. We purchase annual passes most times now and try to cover two trips within a 12 months period, partly through staying offsite for some of the time. It would be a real shame if the perk was removed as people were abusing it, or that Disney felt obliged to use handheld finger scanners at the tollbooths.

Incidentally, Disney are quite explicit on their annual passholder website page:

Q. Can I let a friend or family member use my parking benefit?
A. Like your Annual Passport itself, your parking benefit is non-transferable. You must be present in the vehicle.

Has anyone been tempted to report the listing? It annoys me that eBay is uber-strict on anything which could result in financial loss to itself, but seems to turn a blind eye when it affects another organisation or individual.

Exactly. Also, for the sake of losing the £40 deposit the seller demands, I'm sure someone at some point will attempt to keep the pass for themselves and not send it back.

It couldn't be any more explicit, could it? They are clearly breaking the rules.

Agreed.

This person is just one step away from the touts that approach you at the gas stations and whatnot and try to buy off you your 14-day UK passes at the end of your holidays. And people have said they have managed to get into the parks on those tickets, so someone will be bound to try it at some point on this card.

A peeve of mine too Debs :headache:

Ebay won't give a stuff about this. They let ticket touts trade on there and there is also a thriving counterfeit market. This seller is small-fry. As long as their profits aren't affected, Ebay will ignore it.

If the pass is in his name - how come he has 5?
