I sold a purse and the buyer states that it looks different in color than my photo looked. The bag is khaki and green and stated that in both the title and the item description. When I mentioned this she stated that she didn't read either just looked at the photo and bought it thinking it was pink and black... She asked for an exchange which I don't have anything to exchange it with, so even though I specified no returns, I offered to refund her if she paid return postage and bag was in original condition. She responded by saying she hasn't decided what she wants to do yet. Can I give her a time limit to decide? My fear is that she may not have a smoke free environment or the bag might not be in same condition when/ if she returns it. Advice please? I'm pretty new to selling and not sure what to do. Thank you!

Reach out to customer support at Ebay and ask them. I sell quite a bit and they really do lean toward the buyer most of the time but it sounds like you listed everything honestly and stated no returns so you should be ok. You should be able to get some help from customer support though. Try this number: 866-540-3229. Good luck.

Was the photo that far off? She thought it was pink and black but it was green and khaki? I'd contact eBay and ask them for advice.

I'd transfer the money out of paypal ASAP and tell her that all sales are final. Unless your picture was so terrible that khaki and pink looked the same then that's her problem since you stated everything else in writing.

Thanks everyone. After I looked at my photo I could see how the lighting may have given the bag a bit of a pinkish tint. You can definitely see that it's green, not black though. I thought I'd be nice and let her return it (even though she should have read it!) I did call ebay and they suggested I give her a couple of days to return but that since our conversation took place within ebay, I should be ok, given she admitted to not reading description. I guess on Monday I will let her know that I am no longer willing to accept a return. That will have been plenty of time to make up her mind!

Bottom line is its not your fault that she didn't read the description and now has buyer's remorse.

I have sold a lot on Ebay and if she files with them you will probably have to refund her.
