Ebay Selling advice needed!

DH and I are just finishing up closing on our new house which is great! The bad part is that is doesn't leave much room in our budget for Disney. Several people have suggested to me that I sell clothing (I shop a lot and usually only wear things once or twice at the most) and collectables (I also collect dolls and knick-knack sit-around stuff) on ebay to make money for my Disney trips. I know I have seen threads about this before. Anybody have any advice for an ebay newbie? Thanks so much!

My wife is an Ebay nut and she sells all our old stuff on Ebay instead of having a garage sale. She also buys items on sale at stores (new) and resells them on Ebay for a profit. She makes around $4,000 / year goofing around on Ebay and we use it all for vacation.

She started out slow selling one item at a time. We had a regular camera (switched now to digital due to ease of use) and she would take picutres of the product, write a short descriiption, and then sell it. She would look at others selling similar items to get ideas and see how it's done.

Now she usually has 5 - 10 items for sale all the time. She has almost 200 positive feedbacks and zero negative which I suppose is important. The more positives, the more credible you are perceived to be.

Start slow and build it up. Do what you say you are going to do and answer any questions via email as quickly as possible.

instead of buying clothes, bank the money for your trip....
