Ebay Question about refunding buyer

Does anybody know how I can refund a buyer. The buyer was unable with the item (which is another story) and opened a dispute with Ebay. They resent the item back to me and I was suppose to refund the buyer within 3 days. There is a hold for the amount in my paypal account but no option to refund the buyer. I don't know how to refund the buyer and I have contacted Ebay numerous times and they don't get back to me....Anybody know???

I had to refund money to a person a few months ago and didn't find ebay to be much help. I logged into PayPal and issued a refund through there. I think if you go to the line item once you are logged in, and then select more options or details, it will let you issue money back from there.

i also just did this last week. i issues the refund on paypal site their was an option next to the transaction on the main account page. paypal then revered the paypal fee automatically and i recieved a reversal in the ebay fee automatically as well...

If the buyer opened a case with paypal and you now have a hold on the money in your paypal account you can go into your paypal account and on the right side it will say something like " 1 item needs your attention" you can click on that and it will give you the option to dispute it or refund it.
