ebay problem....

Hi. I bought some perfume for my dd on ebay. It came today and I think it's a fake. I sent an email to the seller telling her politely that it's fake and asked how do we proceed from here. Anyway, it's not a huge amount of money but what are my options? It says they give refunds but buyer pays shipping. Should I have to pay shipping for sending back a fake product? Just curious. I have never had a problem on ebay before. I guess I'll see what she says when she writes back. Oh and FYI...if something seems to good to be true, it usually is

if you paid using paypal, you are covered..contact them..I believe there's an option that states 'the item is not as described"...you can also open a dispute with ebay (wait till you hear from the seller..she may cooperate and you won't have to do anything)..if you have to send the item back..decide if it's worth the extra shipping cost to settle the matter..as you said, sometimes if the deal is too good to be true, that just may turn out to be the case! do NOT leave feedback till the entire thing is settled though!

Thanks for your reply. I just got an email from paypal that she refunded my money already I can't believe that out of the thousands of transactions she makes, only a handful realize the perfume is fake

Maybe some don't care because they either can't afford or just don't want to spend lots of money to smell good...

I get that IF it smelled good but it smells gross, nothing like the real deal. Plus I read some interesting stuff about what they put in those knock-offs
