Ebay PH tickets?

I have two adult PH tickets with one day left on each that I want to sell on ebay, but both tickets have "military" on the back of them because I bought them on a base for the military rate. Can I still ebay those? Should I put that they are military tickets? I know technically Disney says they can check for ID and turn you away, confiscate tickets, etc. if you aren't military, but do they actually do that? We're military so we didn't have to worry about that. I just don't know if they would even sell because of that. Any ideas?

Yes, if the purchaser tries to use them during a busy time they can be asked for ID and I believe my sister was asked for hers a while back. Also, did you supply a fingerprint for the tickets? If so they probably WILL be asked to put their fingers in the print reader. I'd hang on to them since PHs never expire. There are just too many things that could go wrong using transferred tickets. By the way, Disney considers their tickets non tranferable so the person who buys them from you can be turned away at the gate at Disney's discretion. That would lead to a lot of headaches for both you and the buyer. Don't risk it.

We didn't supply fingerprints or anything when we bought them, and I think we even paid cash for them so there really isn't any way to know that they had been transferred. I want to sell them because we move alot and I'm afraid of losing them before we use them again and we've already gotten our money's worth out of them (we'd really just needed 3 days when we bought them). But you are right about it possibly being a hassle, I wouldn't want anyone turned away because they didn't have military ID.

I think your best option woud be to hold on to them. Generally, they won't check; however, would you want to take the chance that the people you sell the tickets to got turned away? You could, however, always look at selling them to other military personal.

You only use the finger scan for annual passes. I have purchased a few left over days on Ebay and also sold the same. I have never had a problem. It works out because a one day hopper is unavailable but often needed. They only ask you to swipe the card, I don't know why they would even look at the ticket. The bidder may want to know it is a military discounted ticket if you have a high starting bid.

Just a suggestion: If you don't think you can sell them, and you are truly worried about losing them here's my advice. If you have a safety deposit box at a bank, put them in the box. If not keep them with your very important paperwork, like insurance policies, home paperwork. Also make several copies of the back of the tickets and place them in various places, safety box, underwear drawer, in your travel suitcase. That way if you loose the actual tickets, if you have copies of the backs of them, Disney will give you replacement tickets the next time you are there. I keep several copies of the backs of our tickets in different suitcases even when we go to WDW, that way if I loose them, or a suitcase somewhere, I have those numbers to get them replaced. My Dad misplaced their brand new 6 day PHP upon our arrival last Dec. He was absolutely sick about it. Thank goodness I had photocopied the backs of them before I gave them to him, and we got them replaced without any problems. My parents don't have a lot of money, and wouldn't have had the money to replace them while we were there.
