I'm going blind and my tush is really sore!!!

I've been sitting in front of this silly computer for days trying to search for reputable sources for finding wholesalers. Does anyone who is into purchasing wholesale for the purpose of reselling on eBay have any suggestions or links that might point me in the right direction?

I'm not hoping to make a living or have a HUGE store, but I'd really like to get my hands on a few quality, name-brand products.

I am simply running out of stuff to sell here at home so that I can continue to afford my Disney fix, and I just don't have a lot of time for garage sales.

ANYONE?????

Thanks!!

PS--I'm aware there are IRS/tax issues to deal with when going this route. I can handle giving Uncle Sam his as long as I find a way to get to Disney World!

Good question, I was wondering the same thing! Let's hope this will bumb up the question and get some responses!

If someone has a genuine place for wholesale items that they are selling, chances are slim they would share that info. They prob found it just like you are trying to do..by searching searching searching.
I have seen some advertisemtents on Vendio.com by wholesalers, and I see some people on eBay sell "lots". For my business, whenever I needed a wholesaler, I did just as you are doing...I put in the item and the word wholesale, and went through a few thousand hits, til I found what I was looking for. Or, get in touch with the company you are interested in, and find out what would qualify you. Usually you have to have a biz license or resale certificate before they'll even talk to you. Be prepared to put out a lot of money and to store a lot of items. If you don't buy in large bulk, it won't be worth it, by the time you pay for shipping (usually by large truck, and if you don't have a dock, they expect you to unload it..although we've had very nice people delivering and they usually will put it by the curb) and fees.
I do get notes through eBay from people asking me where I bought certain things, and since they only want them for personal use, would I share where I'm buying. I have to say I'm selfish, as my answer is always no : (
Be wary with some of the item. Often "pallet load" sales are returns..know in advance that not everything will work or be in like new condition if you buy from other than a company, and you will have some loss...or some will just be junk that belongs in the dollar store. Which leads to another place to buy stuff..not everyone has a dollar store or Christmas Tree shop. I often see stuff from those places on eBay.

Here is something I was going to try. WWW.smcorp.com. It cost 300.00 for the membership(comes with books and other things). Then there is a 25.00 a year charge to keep your account open. They have all kinds of things to sale, like glass roses, unicorns,. It's mostly novelity stuff. That might sale on ebay, if not they will tell you how to wholesale to stores in your area. It's a lot of work IMO!!

Hope this helps
Sabrina

Before you buy anything from a wholesaler to sell on Ebay, do a number of Ebay searches and Google searches to find out how much these products are selling for. You may not (and most likely will not) be able to make a profit on Ebay by buying from companies like SMC--there are a gazillion people trying to sell that stuff on Ebay.

There is just no easy way to make a lot of money on Ebay (IMO)--if there was, everybody would be doing it. Making real money on Ebay (as opposed to selling off stuff you have laying around the house) takes quite an investment of time (and often, money).

Thanks to everyone who posted info so far! :grouphug: I'm still checking into certain items, but it's slow going. To be quite honest, I've not really found any "really great" deals yet.

I just may have to break down and start visiting the garage sales & thrift shops. :faint: As things now stand, I've already spent so much time online searching for wholesale items that I probably could have visited several garage sales in my area by now. :headache:

Oh well....we live and learn. :upsidedow
