to list my MNSSHP tickets. They are bringing in a fortune. We have the 31st and the kids have been twice before. Should I? There are plenty of things going on around town so to speak.
Anyone else consider doing this?

Hi, I'm fairly new here and trying to get all the "lingo" but this one I don't know. Can you please tell me what "MNSSHP" means? Thanks

Hi tycopj! And WELCOME to the DIS! :)

MNSSHP stands for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Hope that this helps. :)

Do your kids know that you had planned on going?

How disappointed will they be? If they knew you were planning on going, would they understand why you changed your mind?
If they didn't know, then heck yes!

Time is running out, so you would have to do it quickly and get some kind of verified payment so you could mail them in time.

Don't Do It!

~Don't be tempted~You'll never forgive yourself~
(and the kids might not either.)
;)

This might be enough to have a 2-3 day jaunt later. If the kids didn't have their hearts set on it, I'd do it.

I just looked at Ebay! :earseek: Wow! :earseek: How much do these tickets normally cost directly from Disney?

I would put them up if the kids didn't care about going... that's alot of money!!! and since you've already been there a couple times....

The people buying these are probably the same ones buying the vouchers at a ridiculous price. Although, I can understand a decent markup if the nights the tickets are for are truly sold out. I see one auction has a reserve on it (which hasn't been reached), and the current price is unbelievable. I think the adult tickets were about 35. each with shipping last year (but I could be wrong). We didn't have to buy one for DD1. Guess we got an amazing bargain by ebay's standards! Isn't it illegal to sell tickets to an event for a certain price above the face value? And, I think you may not be able to insure the shipment of tickets via the postal service. I hope this does not cause people to snatch up the Halloween Party tickets in future years for the purpose of selling them on ebay. Doesn't seem fair...
I feel like we paid a ton for our Wiggles tickets for NYC (why are they more expensive than in other states?), but I can see they would bring even more on ebay. Would I sell them? No way!

Hmmm, I just looked them up. If I had them in my hands and had already been before, I would definitely take the opportunity to make a little profit, especially with the holidays coming up. You will have a great time there no matter what you're doing.

I was shocked when I looked them up on Ebay. Wow!!! I agree, if the kids do not care to go, then sell them and make extra spending money for your trip or the Holidays. Good Luck.

I am so torn. But some of the prices are just unbelievable. One completed auction went for $855.00 for 2 tix. Now I have 5 so I am thinking hmmm can I really make this much profit? I think I will list them tommorrow, any thoughts on pricing? I will do a 3 day auction with overnite shipping?

Part of me thinks it is really slimy, but the other part thinks if there is a buyer, why not ?

Thanks for the feedback. I thought for sure, I would need to darn a double duty flame retardent suit;)

Also funny coincedence, the concierge at Ritz Carlton where we are staying, sent me an email today, listing tons of activities for Halloween, including a monster meal, drive in movie and a haunted house tour. Between, all these activities and DTD and the Boardwalk, we may really not even miss it.

Oh my...I was looking for MNSSHP for the 29th and ran across a set of 4 for the 31st that were well over 500 bucks with an insane 32 bids!!!

I just PM'd you. I am looking for 1 ticket-MIL decided 3 weeks ago to join us.
TIA
Cindy

I'd start the auction price at 9.99 and put a reserve on it of $100-150 per ticket (or more!).

If enough people are seeing the prices they can get on eBay for the MNSSHP tix, what's to stop them from buying a ton of them next year just to resell them on eBay and make a huge profit? In the worst case scenario, it could contribute to the sold-out status on certain nights unless someone could cough up the $$$ for eBay prices. I love to make any extra money I can, too, but I was just thinking a bit farther down the road on this one...
