Ebay help needed, what should I start these items at?

I moved recently and I found a bag full worth of clothes that still have tags on them, things we got for Christmas, gifts, etc that were the wrong size and for some reason never got brought back. I want to sell them and thought about ebay, but have NO idea what to start them at... anyone want to help me out. Here is what I've got:

Roidal Bathing Suit (retail $180) from Spain, not sold in US - size 14

DBYII Dress, full length w/ embrodiery/lined (would wear to work, etc) - size 24W

Pair of Rustler size 48 Heavy Weight Jeans

White Stag solid moleskin long sleeve button down shirt - size 26/28

Lana Gatto 100% Merino Wool Men's Long Sleeve Sweater XXL

Bagatelle Woman's Khaki Colored Dress Pants - Size 30 (retail $44)
(I have two of these)

Ladies Cole of California Bathing Suit size 16, retails $68

Men's Route 66 size 48 Black Demin Jeans

Farah Men's Sweater Retails $27 size 3X

Comfort Action Sport's Demin Jeans by Burlington size 44 retails $23.00

Like I said all are brand new, w/ tags, but I don't know what price to start my listings at. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

HI. I would first do a quick ebay search and see if you can find any similar items and see what they were started at and what they sold at. (You can search by completed items only to see things that have ended.) And that could maybe give you a good starting point.

And I have personally noticed that items that start low tend to get run up faster than items that have a higher starting price. I've seen items that started at $1 get run up so high that a similar item with a starting price of say $100 doesn't get any bids yet the $1 starting item is up to $150. Why people wouldn't search for the lower price once something gets that high I don't know. But this is something I've seen.

Price anything at the minimum you are willing to take for the item.

I list my clothes in lots. Like all my men's small shirts I listed in a lot of 4. I started at 99 cents. I have not sold them yet..they close today. I guess I don't execpt to make a killing on them. But I am making something and getting them out of my house.

I did sell my 2005 Passporter book for 20.00. It all depends but do a search on Ebay and maybe try out one or two items.

I sell 99% clothing for the family on ebay. Usually about 50+ items a weeek. Here is what I've found was true for my auctions:

As for the swimsuitws, they seem to do best in March and early April- sometimes as early as late February. Right now the market just isn't as "hot" for them. Not saying the won't sell, but the spring/summer clothing and swimsuits get there best money then. Especially when people are looking for spring break clothing and the stores are just coming out w/ it.

The White Stag, Route 66, and Rustler items would be items I'd most likely start at $.99. Especially if listed alone. They are cheap store items to begin with.

As for the 24W career dress. I'd do a search. I don't have a lot of luck w/ dresses to begin w/ for women. So, I shy away from them.

The women's size 30 pants- realistically you could start in the $5-9.99 range. However, to get maxium exposure I'd go lower. I still think they'll go well. However, it's a chance and you have to be willing to accept the lower price too. I start a lot of my plus sized pants (anything over a size 20 as I find 16 and 18 isn't as much of a money maker) (namebrand) off at $.99-$3.00. Most times they go for the $7-25 range. However, I'm fully willing to take the hit at $.99 too.

The men's 2x and 3x sweaters are iffy. My men's clothing is real unpredictable. I have a l/s knit top size medium lot of 3 Old Navy tops up right now and it's going for over $8 and it's still got 2 days left. Last week I had a Nautica men's 3 top lot that I couldn't sell (listed twice). Both started at $.99 and both w/ same $6.99 shipping. Better brand, nicer shirts honestly, but couldn't sell them.

The biggest thing is going w/ what your comfortable getting. However, if your prices and shipping are unrealistic you won't make any money, rather you'll pay ebay to list and never sell your items.
