eBay feedback question

I'm hoping that someone here knows the answer to this question.

I sold an item on eBay, and the seller left me neutral feedback. It was my error (I neglected to type one word in the description :confused3), so I issued him a refund through PayPal and sent him a message apologizing for the confusion. I also told him to keep the item if he wishes.

The problem is, I now have a neutral feedback on my record. I'm not a high volume eBayer, so it tarnishes my reputation. I seem to recall that there used to be a way to write a note under neutral or negative feedback. But, I'm not seeing the option to do that. I'd simply like to write that I acknowledged the mistake and refunded his money.

Can I respond to the feedback? Thanks.

p.s. On a related note, I would like to have a small vent about people who leave bad feedback WITHOUT contacting the person first. Grrrrr! :sad1:
 
Go to the Feedback Forum page: (http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/feedback.html)

On the right side under Feedback Tools, click "Reply to Feedback received". You'll probably have to log in again.

Next scroll to the feedback you wish to reply to and on the far right select "Reply".

Enter your comment and click the "Leave Reply" button.

Since you gave them a refund did you ask them to submit a 'feedback revision request"?
They buyer can change the feedback.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I will ask him to do that. Gosh, now I know why people say eBay is a PITA. :sad2:
