ok i won, i paid, now i have issues.

product was open in the shipping box when i recieved it ( the 2 controllers) one has obviose usage scratches and the other seems new, but the left arrow key does not work. both have visable streak marks wear they were wiped down with a wet rag...

the "free" extension cables are in factory packages and still sealed.

package came fairly fast, 5 days after payment.

My problem is on ebay i judge the product, not shipping. other wise i would have given negative feedback out a lot more than i ever have...that being once for missadvertising the product. I know things happen the USPS is slower than snails sometimes....and things do get lost...

well, the product i bid on, the 2 controllers, was not as advertised....If i ship them back im out double the money since i already paid for them and shipping once, ( shipping from him to me was over 13 dollars) and this guy wants me to pay shipping again to prove he's a moron that lied to get money......

My gut tells me to give negative feedback as a warning to other bidders, im not ready to do this just yet but i refuse to part with more money....

What would you do??

thanks for the help...

Since the description does say Brand New in factory seal PS2 Game Controllers I would try to contact person you bought it from & complain, if not you could file a claim.....I wouldn't ship them back...not yet anyways....
Good Luck...

Wow, that's tough.

I would go ahead and pay to ship them back, then, if he doesn't refund ALL of your money, I would file a complaint with ebay.

You obviously can't use them anyway.

I would wait on the negative feedback until I was absolutely sure he was refusing to 'make it right'.

First, hes already given you feedback so there is no chance that if you give him a negative he will give you one back.

The auction clearly states factory sealed so if he is not willing to make good (ie give you all your money back if you return them, or give you SOME money back for them being less than advertised) go ahead and give him a negative.

We are 2000+ on ebay with no negatives, but theres a reason... we always sell what we advertise and if someone is unhappy (its happened) we refund all their money. Mostly we just refund and don't ask them to ship it back, but thats only been once or twice.

And just as an aside..... we've shipped out over 2500 items and NEVER ever lost an item. We thought we lost one going to France once, but it showed back up at our house 3 months later with an "undeliverable" sticker on it. We had refunded the guy his money , but sent him a picture of the returned package.

in the same package you received it in..make sure you ship it with delivery confirmation or signature required..also file a complaint with paypal before the 30 day mark is up...if the seller is at all ethical..he will refund you both your auction price and your shipping costs both ways..since he did say this was a NEW item and it's obviously not..but even if he only refunds the price and original shipping..or sends you out a brand new pair..then you should WAIT to post feedback...feedback is a last minute thing..and you have at least 90 days to leave it..he did complete the auction and shipping in a timely manner...now wait a little bit and see if he follows through with your complaint..if he doesn't..and you still feel the need to file negative feedback..then just be factual about it..date won, date paid, date received, and condition of item!..good luck!

well hes acting like some big ole wholesailer thats been in business for a long time......a long 3 months....

come on, the guy had broken up styrofoam pieces from a stereo box as shipping foam....

well, the reply to my email earned him a negative.....his third this week...

and as an aside, ps1 and ps2 joysticks DO work in both platforms, i've never had one that didnt...

thanks for the input, tho it was for naught, his reply to the situation was unrepeatable in this forum.

Although this post has been answered, I'd recommend getting the PayPal Buyer Protection.
I bid on tux AFTER sending measurements to the seller - seller said the tux would be perfect. It came with buttons missing and did not fit. I emailed seller three times and did not receive a reply. I filed my claim with PayPal and sent it to them. Seller had been posting feedback for other wins on site so s/he WAS there - just ignoring my email question.
Now the seller has contacted me to "work something out". I already have through PayPay Protection.

Am I going to leave negative feedback? Not sure - but not happy about being ignored - just glad I paid the $2.and change for the protection plan!
