Ebates question

Hi, everyone. I've never used ebates before, but I saw a lot of posters saying they used ebates to book through Orbitz. Is there any way you can tell exactly how much you're going to get back from ebates? Because it seems to be saying that it's a mere $2.25 cash back. Not that I wouldn't like $2.25, just that I thought it was going to be at least 2% of the total booking price.

ETA: I read the ebates site more carefully and apparently the savings is 2.00% of the total booking after all the other discounts have been applied.

I used Ebates last year for the first time and ended up getting approx $35 back on a hotel booking that was $800.
