Ebates orbitz 11% cash back

Just checked on orbitz through ebates and currently promoting 11% cash back. Just bought our disneyworld and universal Orlando park tickets for next summer and $360 pending in my ebates account! Not quite the 20% they offered last time but I doubt it'll get that high again. Good luck budget boarders!

The ebates website says that the 11% is for cruise reservations. Activities are 5.1%.

Yep, the 11 percent is very misleading....only 11 percent on a tiny slice of the travel pie.

Here is copy of the fine print
and as you can see below Activity Reservations are at 5.10% refund and Disney Park tickets are Activity purchases

11% Cash Back per Cruise reservation

5.10% Cash Back on Retail Hotel reservation, per Activity reservation; 1.70% Cash Back on Activities Package

1.70% Cash Back on Prepaid Hotels, Prepaid Hotel Package, Air Package, Car Package, Activities Package

$5.10 Cash Back per Car reservation

$3.05 Cash Back per Air ticket

Can some one explain how this works. I apologize I did read it before but since I wasn't in the market for tickets I sort of skimmed it.

Now I've got a trip planned for next August and this could come in handy

Sure join ebates.com sign into your Ebates acct and click on the Orbitz offer you will automatically be redirected to the Orbits website. Ebates keeps track of your shopping. Once Ebates confirms that you made a purchase and what the amount was, they will award you a % cash back in the form of a check.

So if the Orbitz offer on Ebates is 5% for Disney tickets buy your tickets on Orbitz for say $1000 you would get $50 cash back check from Ebates.

Ebates only sends out rebate checks 4 times a year.


Last March there was a 20% cash back offer on Disney tickets. I paid $1200 for 2 of the 10 park hopper non expire tickets and got $308 cash back.

Don't worry about the dates. Put in any date. When I bought mine last winter I had a trip planned for March and those were the dates I used however my trip got rescheduled to Sept. I had NO problem getting my tickets.

Looks like this deal is on Ebates app if you book via the app. I can't find the fine print anywhere stating the discount on activities but it should be more than usual.

The app says Up to 11%. Since I don't need tickets, I won't be trying this to see if you get that much back on activities. If anyone attempts this and gets that much back, please report back.
