Did you make a shirt up yet??? :lmao:

No more Isthmas stuff, please, not all of us are that intellectual :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We need to sponsor a Kelly Room to have her do the neckwear...Oh Kelly :rolleyes1

I think I have the lipstick color too!

Anyone else thinking about adding a week after to tour Europe??

Going on the grand tour Lisa??

I think you should just bring along a tutor and the kids can just skip the last month and a 1/2 of school...;) May I suggest Cherie?

Wait until you see what he does with the Rock of Gibralter!!!

I think we're going to have to bribe Miss Kelly...

I am up for fish extenders too. Starting so early on our thread I wonder how many cabins we will have involved by the time we go? Anyone done a TA repo before with FE's? About how many rooms participated? Figured doesn't hurt to kind of plan ahead and work on something really great!!!

We would LOVE to spend some time in Europe post-cruise! Someone earlier suggested finding a cheap flight to some other country where there would be an even cheaper flight back to the USA than from Barcelona. The only thing that might stop us from doing this is the amount of time I'm pulling my kids out of school and my DH's vacation time.

We may, however, try to spend a day or two in WDW prior to the cruise. I'll have to see just how much grief I get from the school....if they're ok I might try to push it a bit and spend some time in Europe.

Anyone know if weekday TA flights to the US might be cheaper than weekend? That might seal the deal.

Kim

It's so hard to say, because we're really talking about one-way fares and not roundtrips. The pricing the two types are completely different. I would tend to doubt that when it comes to a one-way fare there is any difference between a weekend and a weekday.

As far as cheap flights in Europe, we were looking at flying to London after the cruise, and used April 2009 as a dummy date. We seen flights for $75 with taxes from Barcelona to London on British Airways. If we had not got the deal with Disney and the cheaper airfare, we'd be all over that!

BTW...I am posting and don't think I've really introduced myself. My name is Tina, I will be 32 at the time of the cruise, Timothy(35 ATT)DBF, and Lester(64 ATT)Tims dad. We have all cruised DCL before, but never more than a week! This will be my first time in Europe, Tims 3rd and I'm not too sure about Lester. We would love to participate in Fish extenders!

We have 3 children between the 2 of us, and we are leaving them at home. This will be 7th grade for one of them, and were not sure about pulling her out. So we figured it was unfair to take 2 and not the 3rd. They are pretty upset at this point, but they will soon forget and get over it!
They get to spend 14+ days with Grandma and Papa!

AWESOME.

This would be the best title for any cruise I have been on!

Count us in for FE's too, and Secret Mickeys.

We're undecided about what to do after debarkation in Barcelona......my Dad, who was scared to book this crossing, might meet us in Paris.....IF we can afford it after my spa habit that is ;)

I love it.

Isn't it great? When my daughter mentioned it I just looked at her like "Why didn't I think of that?"

It's already changed on the website and I'm in the process of changing the photo (which is fantastic!).

BTW, I have never participated in either FE exchanges nor Secret Mickey events so if somebody else would take those on that would be great. I'll add it to the website once we've got details.

And count us in on both!

I have never done Secret Mickey, but have done FE. I would be willing to take on FE, and possibly Secret Mickey if its explained to me.

It is great! Tell your daughter she's a genius!!! And we all love it!

New and Improved

I just couldn't leave well enough alone.

I fiddled a bit with Photoshop this morning, and I improved the graphics. I fixed some of the color, and also better adjusted the angle of the ears, and took out the goggles.

So here, with and without text:

The Secret Mickey activity involves receiving the name of another participant and surprising them with things throughout the cruise. Then, at a get-together near the end of the cruise, everyone reveals themselves to their SM and gives them a small gift. It's like a Secret Santa thing, if you've done one of those. Normally everyone would draw names, but that's not possible in this situation. The person who runs it would have to do the drawing instead.

We did a similar event at my DD's dance nationals. Every dancer got the name of another dancer and had to surprise them during Nationals. We all stayed in the same hotel (so it was similar to the cruise) and the girls would put notes on their person's door or surprise them with candies or other little surprises. At the end we had a pool party where everyone found out who had them. Some of them had already figured it out, but it was still fun.

And thanks for taking on the FE activity. Definitely put us down for that one (and the SM exchange if you decide to organize both!).
