Okay, I know we are not going to WDW until after Thanksgiving…but I love planning so I can’t help but start now. :cloud9: I have a few restaurant questions.

What I was wondering is what countries should we dine at in Epcot. I know we want to try Le Cellier one night. But we want to eat @ World Show Case one more night at another country. Also, what time is Illuminations? Are you able to watch Illuminations from any of the restaurants? Or do they offer any deal like with Fantasmic that we can have special seating if we eat @ certain restaurants.

TIA

Illuminations is at 9pm.you really can not reliably view illuminations from the World Showcase restaurants. The only place with a view is the Rose and Crwn patio, but they will not guarantee you a patio seat, nor will they allow you to definitely wait for seating in this area( since everyone wants it). Tokyo Dining window seats have an obstructed view as does Les Chefs de France. But those views are only from window seats and you have people and trees between the window and the lagoon where illuminations takes place.

We always eat at San Angel Inn in the Mexican Pavilion. We love the atmosphere, it is dark and you are sitting by the "river" that the attraction uses. The musicians that play periodically are fabulous.

We like Chefs de France. It has a nice, varied menu, and we've never been disappointed. Bistro de Paris is its upscale sister. Biergarten and Marrakesh have entertainment and good food. Akershus has the princesses. I haven't eaten at Tutto Italia since it was Alfredo's, but it gets good marks. But, if you were to pin me down, I'd have to go with Chefs, even over Le Cellier, which we like, too.

You can see Illuminations (9 p.m.) from the Rose & Crown, if you're lucky enough to score an outside waterside table. Illuminations doesn't have any "seating" areas, per se. It's more of a "claim your spot at the fence" kind of endeavor. So, there are no Fantasmic! kind of dining perks.

We ate outside at R&C our last trip - luckily we were on the patio outside & our server said we could wait to see the fireworks.

She also mentioned they have a viewing area - so maybe if you are sat inside you can stand there to watch???

I'd check out the menus at allears.net and see what sounds good to you. We enjoy many of the Epcot restaurants.
Morocco has a belly dancer.
Germany has Bavarian music.
Mexico has great atmosphere.
Japan has a Benihana type restaurant where the chefs put on a show cooking your meal.
I don't think you can make a wrong choice.

That's correct :)

My kids 2 favorite WS restaurants are Biergarten in Germany and Teppan Edo in Japan. Both offer good food and entertainment which keeps the kids occupied!
