Eating Solo at a Bar without a Reservation

We are planning a WDW trip in the fall with a Free Dining meal plan. My wife and DD are planning on doing a lunch at Morimoto's on a non-park day. I am not a huge fan of the food at Morimoto's and would rather eat at Raglan Road, Paradisio 37 or House of Blues (not sure which). I have tried to book a table for one, but feel silly doing so. Would it be OK to just walk up and eat at the bar using my table service credit and maybe having a beer or two? Or will I need a reservation to use the Dining Plan. Any help would be appreciated.

How you pay has nothing to do with having a reservation or not. It's kind of like the difference between paying with cash or a credit card...they just take what you give them I've had good luck dining without reservations at both Morimotos and Raglan Road at the bar. You might also want to try Jock Lindsey's...the food there is very good.

Recently at HOB the wait was 40 minutes for a table or immediately for the bar. We at at the bar and really enjoyed the meal and great service.

As others have said, you shouldn't have any issues having lunch at the bar - no reservations needed. The Boathouse is another great option with both a bar inside and a dockside bar on the water. Have fun!!

I agree with everyone else--most likely you can just walk right in and get a seat at the bar at any of those restaurants.

And I second the Boathouse recommendation!!

It's been a few years but I've never had issues getting a table indoors or out on the patio at Raglan Road for lunch. I believe the patio tables don't take ADRs so if that's where you choose & would rather sit at a table, that's another option.

It doesn't matter where you sit when paying w/the DDP.
