Eating our way around Disney in 14 days - dining reviews - tons of pictures!

I'm coming out of lurkdom because I saw a couple of people ask about this salad. It has, per AllEarsNet, a honey-sherry dressing. Not sure if this is a help or not...but I hope it's a help. :goodvibes
PS--Great dining choices. You've been to some of my faves, so I guess I'm partial. :)

It was a great vinaigrette:-) Thanks for the info!

Great reviews! I enjoyed the pics. We are going to eat at a few of the places you reviewed! Also are planning a day trip to Sea World! It will be our 1st visit to Sea World :)

Today was a half day at Hollywood Studios and a half day at Magic Kingdom. We ate lunch at Starring Rolls Cafe because I hadn't had the chance to eat here on this trip since I was sick the day we were supposed to eat here:sad2:

This was me and DBF's 2nd time eating at Liberty Tree Tavern. We loved it so much the 1st time that we wanted to do it again on this trip.

You know, the Liberty Tree Tavern's food is nothing special, but we don't know why we just love it! Simple, warm, comfort food. We give this restaurant a 4/5. :thumbsup2

Why a 4/5 for Liberty Tree?

Everything looks great, keep up the good work. I can't wait until the next post/review.

Well, like I said, it's nothing outstanding or special, it's just simple great comfort food so that's why we gave it a 4. It's a great restaurant, great food but nothing out of the ordinary.

Everytime I check this thread out, I get hungry! Get it up :)

Well, this was our last day at Disney. We decided to start packing, and we also seperated for the day and decided to meet later for dinner. I went alone to Downtown Disney. Wow, it was the first time going somewhere alone in Disney and it was so much fun. Just shopping at my own pace. :rotfl:

I decided to stop at Earl of Sandwich for a quick lunch.

I see, I thought something was bad and you didn't mention it.

Thanks for the post. I see you have more photos, I have to see.:dance3:

Well, this was our last meal at Disney. We decided to eat at Kona as no one had eaten here before. Did I say how much I love the Polynesian Resort? :lovestruc I hope to one day stay at this wonderful resort.

First, this was one of the restaurant where we had the worst service. Our server wasn't "all there". :confused3 She didn't come regularly, service was very slow that night, and she was always mixed up with what we ordered. Then, for dessert, I asked for the Chocolate Torte and she came with the Kona kone?! :confused3. I didn't want to change it because it would've taken way too long to get another one since the service was already so slow and we already were late for our evening at Magic Kingdom. Also, at the end, me and my aunt wanted to pay seperately for the sushi, and she seemed confused!? :confused3 Poor girl. She really seemed out of it. She wasn't friendly nor was she really smiling either.

Overall, the food was great. Those volcano rolls are too die for, I highly recommend having sushi while at the Polynesian. It was fresh and good. We loved the restaurant, but the service was bad so we ended up leaving desapointed with the experience since we had heard so many great things about Kona. I would give Kona another try for sure, but for now we will give this restaurant a 5/5 for the food and a 2/5 for the service.

This was lunch before going back to the airport for our flight home. The Pop Century Food Court has some really great food. :thumbsup2

Overall, we had some fantastic foods on our trip. Here's our top 3 restaurants (no particular order):

Grand Floridian Cafe (Grand Floridian Resort & Spa)
The food at the Grand Floridian Cafe was one of the best on this trip. The service, the ambiance, the hotel, everything was perfect.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant (Animal Kingdom)
The service at this restaurant was one of the best of the whole trip. Our server took the time to talk with us and give us information about his work at WDW. He was attentive and he seemed to really care about his work. The restaurant theme is beautiful and the food was so good.

Rose & Crown Restaurant (Epcot)
The food was fantastic and the service was great. I love eating outside on the patio, and like I said before, if we eat here again I will make sure to make reservations later to be able to watch Iluminations.

This is it all, thanks for reading and I'm hoping I've helped you choose some restaurants for your next trip. :)

Wonderful reviews and photos :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for taking the time to share :goodvibes

loved the review....:thumbsup2 I agree about the 50s Primetime the food was the worst that we had the whole trip, however, we had the best time at that meal....:rotfl2:

Thanks for the reviews. I loved the food pics. I may have to try some of the better places you went to.
