Eating on budget this week...no DINING PLAN

I got a florida resident ticket deal, in which I couldn't add on the dinnning plan.
There will be me, husband, 3 y/o, and 2 y/o
So what are your tips on eating on a budget...do I try and get counter service places, and if so, which do you reccommand.
We will be doing:
Magic Kingdom
Typhoon Lagoon
Animal Kingdom

MK-Peco Bill and here's an idea. You and your hubbie can order the double cheeseburger meal for each of you and order an extra bun. There's a button for the CM to order a bun only. Then you have four meals for the price of two.
AK-I've heard that Flaming Tree BBQ is good with large portions but have no personal experience to convey.
TL-??? Are you sure TL isn't too wild for 2s and 3s?

We are mostly going to do the wave pool..i should say they are both a month from being 4 and 3...if it matters.
I'm pregnant too, so we can't really do anything crazy anyways.
We are doing it as kinda an off day to just relax, it was only $25 to add the Water Fun and More for Fl. Residents, do you suggest BB over TL? we could actually do both, but I'm not sure we will.

Just because you do not have the DDP doesn't translate to not eating table service. We have never dined at Disney under any dining plan and always dine at only TS and for us we have always come out ahead...especially when your children are very young.

I think you have to do a character meal somewhere in there! The young ones would love it I would assume! I am 36 and am planning at least 3 next time I go!!
