The morning we are checking out, I want to swim a bit, then check out, and head over to Cape May for a late breakfast. Their last seating is at 10:50AM which would fit perfectly into our schedule. BUT, will we still get to see the characters? What about the buffet. Will it still be hot and fresh?

on Cape May, but we usually do a late breakfast at CM the day we leave. I have never had an issue with food items not being less fresh or the characters being less friendly or available when we have gone. I have seen some peole suggest that the late times are the best time to go because it's less crowded and the characters have more time.

We have not done Cape May before so I don't know specifically about them. We did do the Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom with a late ADR, and we had to wait an hour after our ADR time to be seated (we had a very large party). It was good but they switched to lunch halfway through our meal. We ate breakfast and lunch in one sitting LOL. We had no issues with seeing the characters.

At Akershus, we had almost the last ADR for lunch. It was the worst meal we've ever had at WDW! They seated us in the doorway in an otherwise empty restaraunt. Also, we were in a very dirty corner with random food on the floor. DH said he felt like he was sitting in a trash pile! They quickly ran the princesses by us and really hurried us all around! The food here was also cold and it's not a buffet!

All of the other ones, we had no issues about anything. We always do as late as possible ADRs for breakfast because we are not morning people :)

We have not done Cape May but have done others. We did Hollywood & Vine on our last trip and they kept refilling everything. As we were leaving, they were putting out lunch. We were so full that we could not imagine eating anything else. You should be just fine with a late ADR. Have a great trip!!!

We love the last seating. We had the last seating at chef mickey's and the characters just kept coming by. By the end the kids got tired of getting up to hug, photo etc.:confused3 It was great!

We did the last seating at Crystal Palace before and the food was great and the characters were still coming around. We actually got more time with them because we were practically the only ones left in the restaurant! :cool1: So, I think your time will be great! :goodvibes

Thanks! Looks like I'll be fine. I will plan on getting there a few minutes early just in case.

We have done the last seating at Cape May once & at 10:30 once also both times were great. Food was still very fresh & it was a relaxing, laid back Char Meal, is there is such a thing.;)

We love the last breakfast seating. We like breakfast foods but don't like to eat a large meal early in the morning. The last seating is sort of a brunch for us, perfect. Plus, we've found we get some of the best character interaction at that seating time. No matter where we've eaten food was always still fresh and hot. Sometimes we have encountered the lunch changeover. They keep half the buffet stocked with breakfast food and put the lunch food out on the other half, at least that's been my experience. We've always been allowed to choose from both sides. :goodvibes

Never done the last seating for breakfast but I have at dinner for the crystal palace. That is when you get those unheard of pictures of all the characters at the meal at one time. We have some great ones of DS and DD with Pooh, Tigger,Piglet and Eyore all at once.
