Eating at park close

So my plan for Monday May 4th is Animal Kingdom during the day (hours are 9-7). I just can't get my family to a rope drop so it will be closer to 11:00 before we get there and we love AK so can easily fill the remainder of the day there. My plan is to eat dinner at Yak and Yeti before we head to the MK (open until midnight).

I don't want to make a ADR incase we are starving earlier but my plan is to eat close to 7:00 (park close). We have a Landry's select card so I am assuming we could walk up and get a table shortly before 7:00? Rainforest cafe could be a back-up plan. We will have a car so not worried about transportation but will we feel rushed out of the restaurant eating this late?

Also if we eat at 6:30-7:00 it will probably be 8:30-9:00pm by the time we arrive at MK. Are we asking for trouble trying to enter the park when everyone is packing Main Street waiting for the parade and wishes? We plan on staying until the midnight close (hence the late arrival at AK).

3. I've done it and didn't think it was a problem, but I would recommend just take the bus that day if you're staying on site. I just think it's easier.

Thanks for your reply, we are staying at Bonnett Creek so we will need to take our rental car.
