Eating at Bristol Airport

We've heard that the food isn't much cop at Bristol Airport but we'd like to have a nice meal before our journey.
Does anyone know of any pubs (family) close by where we can get a nice lunch please ?

I haven't actualy eaten at these places, so I can't really recommend them, but I do know that if it's a proper meal you want, you're better off eating before you get to the airport!

They are both about a mile away from the airport I think.

You're right in that there's not a lot at Bristol airport at all, although they are doing a lot of work there at the moment to open up a whole new shopping/eating area. Not sure when you're looking to go though and I don't know when it will be finished.

There are loads of nice places to eat in Bristol but I'm sure you don't want to be worrying about getting into Bristol town centre. There is a pub/restaurant a couple of miles from the airport (as you approach the airport on the A38, I think?) on the way in from Bristol town centre but I can't remember offhand what it's called. We have stopped there a couple of times when we've been early for flights and it seems quite nice.

Where will you be travelling from and perhaps I can give you a better idea of somewhere along the way

I've saved The Airport Tavern link to my favorites.
We could kill two birds with one stone there by parking and having a meal before the flight
The parking is £10 cheaper than Bristol Airport long term too.
