Hi fellow Texan!
The only countries that don't have a counter service option is Canada and Italy.
Some of my favorite tasty treats:
Mexico - we typically skip, I find the Cantina really gross, but with the new tequila bar we'll be trying some of their food options.
Norway - they have a bakery. Lots of people like the schoolbread, I thought it was dry when I tried it but they have lots of tasty baked goods to choose from. You can also get some sandwiches and stuff.
Germany - we typically get a beer and pretzel here
France - they have a great bakery, and also a kiosk outside of the bakery with crepes. This is the hardest country for me to decide on but I always go with the cheese plate. It's a great value with several different kinds of cheese, bread, and grapes. DH always gets a pastry, and we often pick them up later for breakfast the next morning.
America - I skip it usually, though am always tempted by the funnel cake kiosk
Morocco - this is our favorite counter service restaurant, so we usually will arrange a meal here.
Italy - no counter service but there is wine
UK - the fish and chips are good, so is the beer
China - you can stop for an eggroll or something at the CS spot. We discovered the new Joy of Tea kiosk a trip or two ago and I highly recommend the Peach Snapl cocktail.
Japan - We'll often pick up some funky candy in the dept store and try a few of the Sake offerings. The CS does have sushi which is a good light meal to split between a few people.
