That is the title of an Eyewitness News "Special Report" to be shown Monday night on CBS 3 in Philadelphia. Apparently, CBS 3 has run out of story ideas and has decided to travel all the way to Florida to dig up health violations at Walt Disney World restaraunts. All I have to say is "Gimme a break".

I saw that. I wondered why Ch. 3 would bother or why they would care, too. I plan to watch just to see. I'm sure it's only a two or three minute segment each night. Seems to me there are more serious issues right here in Philly.

I thought my Micky Mouse ice cream tasted like someone spit on it

Interesting, but strange. I always wonder if stories like that have an "ulterior motive". Let us know if they mean fast food counter service or the nice restaurants.

I also saw that, here is there site, but nothing on it yet, maybe after the broadcast tonight. www.kyw.com

I have wondered if this has something to do with the Eisner meeting coming to Philly. I wonder, I wonder. I have never had a bad meal at Disney or gotten sick. Geez I am going to stay up to watch this one...

What time will this be on? Does anyone know?

Perhaps they are jealous of their rival ABC station. LOL. I grew up watching WPVI (Channel 6) and can't bear to watch any other local news.

Wow they really wanted to get away from the cold temps! I can imagine what it was like during that brainstorming session!

I don't want to know!

The promo that I saw last night said that it would be on Monday at 11:00 p.m.

My theory is that it can't be that serious, or it would be on during the evening news.

Well, obviously it has created a buzz, which is what they're going for. My mom works for the local NBC station here and one thing I've learned from her is that the news will do just about anything to get viewers! The local news markets are amazingly competitive. I'm sure it's nothing that will blow your socks off. By the way, my dh used to work with several guys who used to be restaurant inspectors. Not a one of them would ever go out to eat. They said they had seen way too much to ever make them comfortable eating out again!:scared1:

I do think some stations do this for ratings and they tend to hype it up a little but.....

It doesn't take much effort to keep a restaurant clean.

Umm, isn't February a Ratings month??

Coincidence? You be the judge.

Yup, sweeps starts today I think. My mom's station just had a big celebration to kick off the period.

I think it's a riot! :p I can't wait to watch it, IF I'm up that late. Ratings, it's all about ratings, and think of the thousands of viewers that normally don't watch the local news that late that will tune in. I just want want to see which restaurants they mention or show, I could care less what they find. I'll still eat at any of my favorites, I'm just looking for a cheap Disney fix. LOL! :teeth:

It will also be on in NYC. Although we leave wednesday for WDW, not sure if I should watch :( :(

You will find the same "infractions" at any restaurant in the country. They're just using WDW for shock value and, as already stated, ratings. I'm just watching to get my Disney fix, too. LOL We've eaten all over WDW and never had a problem. This supposed expose' will not change my opinions.

If they wanted restaurant violations they could hit any eatery in the city. I doubt that WDW has any worse violations. I used to work in a restaurant and its a lot harder to keep 1 clean than you think. You're cleaning it way more often than you do your own house, but if i'm gonna die i may as well die happy. So next time i got WDW its to the restaurants i go.

What won't they do for ratings? Our CBS affiliate pulled news people from the 'other' networks trying to say they are so much better. If the station let them go - they must not have been all that popular or important anymore, now would they???

Our local FOX morning news show is looking for someone who wants to quit their job so they can follow the person into the office and film the whole thing - telling off the boss, etc.

I can't wait to see how they try to slam Disney tonight - I will be watching!

What next??

Maybe they got the idea here, at the Dis. Didn't someone post that they thought they had gotten food poisoning at Norway?

I'm almost afraid to watch, since we'll be leaving for WDW tomorrow.
