Prayers headed your way. I hope everything turns out ok.

Prayers for you and your family figment!

Finally a nice day here I am going to try to head to the park with my family. Thanks to my yougest I have started down the path to a cold with a sore throat and runny nose.

We have a Groupon for Quiznos subs so we may use that for lunch. I want to make the Neeley's creamed corn for dinner. I will post the recipe for that one later. Once you taste it you won't want to eat corn on the cob again. I also have some steak in the freezer I may pull out. I was also thinking about a pasta salad. (still haven't gone glueten free:rolleyes1) Let's just say I didn't spend much time on the tredmill yesterday. I know TMI :rotfl:

 I hope you are doing okay with everything.

Today we are going to a picnic at my Grandma's house. I made a ceaser pasta salad to take as a side dish.

...another budget meal I thought of right after posting before: our family loves pizza, no way around it:lmao: I take a Jack's pizza (usually on sale for $2-2.50) and jazz it up with onion, green peppers, and a bit more cheese. Add a chopped salad and you've got a wonderful meal that costs pennies but satisfies our pizza urges. It's amazing how all the savings add up:thumbsup2

I'm making Teriyaki Chicken in the crockpot today.

Oddly enough, I just read on facebook that this is what Rachael Ray made on her show today because it is slow cooker week on her show (I don't watch her). LOL I had already started this in the crockpot a couple of hours ago, so really ironic!

I changed my menu a bit this week due to the changes in our weather. Its actually warming up and Mother Nature seems to have worked herself out...for now anyways :thumbsup2

Monday: We had brats on the grill with pasta salad, sliced cucumbers and baby carrots

Tuesday: Sloppy joes and chips (I was going to do fries but its going to be HOT tomorrow and I'm not about to turn the oven on.) If I feel inspired, I might make a salad up tonight and we'll have that too.

Wednesday: BBQ chicken wraps, salad

Thursday: Payday so we'll likely have dinner out

Friday: Smoked sausage, shells & cheese

Saturday: Tacos and cheesy nachos

Thank you for the prayers. Still no word on weather he will wake up or not.

Tonight we had homemade Mac and cheese wIth veggies

Hey everyone! Missed being on here while I was gone for the weekend. DH and I got home last night to a big surprise at home....record heat temps and NO AIR!!!:scared1: Yep, our AC broke while we were gone. Repairman is coming tomorrow to look at it. DH said "it's a good thing we are living frugal and saving all this money...so that we can replace broken computers and broken air conditioners". Needless to say it's been a BAD couple of weeks with broke stuff. :sad2:

This week my kids are staying with grandparents, so DH and I are eating out of the pantry and freezer...

Monday:
Leftovers from the Fridge-
Chicken Casserole
Rice

Tuesday:
Spaghetti Pie (I had made 2 of these a few weeks ago and stuck 1 of them in the freezer)
Garlic Toast

Wednesday:
Easter Ham
Mac and Cheese
Green Peas

Thursday:
Chicken Tenders
Stewed Potatoes
Steamed Broccoli

Friday:
Takeout since we have to be somewhere at 6pm

* I have EVERYTHING on hand for these meals which equals to NO GROCERY BILL THIS WEEK!!!!! :cool1:

I was going to go grocery shopping today but I don't feel like it.:worship: so I pulled out the pulled pork:rotfl2:

Meals for this week!

Wednesday: Pan fried Pork Chops, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, and Corn Bread.

Friday: Southwestern Skillet Pasta

Saturday: Thanksgiving in June! Turkey, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and rolls.

Monday: Left overs. Possibly Hot Turkey Sandwiches and left over sides.

I am also making a big pasta salad to have with my lunches. Half a sandwich (Chicken or Ham), some pasta salad, and some fruit makes for a filling and decently healthy lunch!

I made us pan fried pork chops with leftover pasta salad and watermelon for dinner tonight.

Tomorrow I will grocery shop and plan what we will have.

I'm just going to plan until the end of the week for now and add more later.

Wednesday.. BBQ Chicken and Sausages on the grill, potato and onion foil packs, corn on the cob and broccoli (omlette and sides for dd )

Thursday.. Tofu Parmesean

Friday.. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Veggie Burgers, Fries and carrots

Saturday.. Ham, potato casserole, broccoli and cheese sauce, crescent rolls (Not sure about dd yet)

Sunday Meatball Subs and Salad. ("Meatless Meatballs for dd)

I will need to go to the store this weekend for milk, produce, eggs and a few lunch items on the weekend. I think I can keep it at about $35.00 though.

Well, it's official....the compressor in our AC has to be replaced. DH and I are at a point in our finances where it feels like every time we take a step forward we have to take two steps back. Two weeks ago his laptop crashed and burned and since we did the finances on it, we had to get a new desktop to replace the dinosaur I was using so that our desktop could handle the software we use for finances. Now we have to fork out the $2000+ we still had in savings to fix the AC. I want SO BADLY to be out of debt!!! We have about $20,000 in credit card dept about that much in student loans. I can not see a light at the end of the tunnel and it is making me really depressed this week.

Do any of you follow the Dave Ramsey program? Can you answer a few questions for me? Did you actually go to FPU classes or do it online? Is there a way to follow his program without doing the FPU classes, maybe some workbooks or something? Our schedules are so hectic already, and I cannot see how we could fit classses into it too. We need help BAD and I don't know where to start...

Thanks for providing me a place to download my emotions right now!

ok, I have to get back to this....
tonight would normally be a girls night out...but I pulled chicken out of the freezer. One dd has practice, so I will pick up other dd and we will get dinner ready.
We are going to eat out of the fridge and pantry until the shopping trip this weekend. We have so much stuff in there it is ridiculous!
