Being bad and ordering pizza. We have no done this for over a month now. I just don't have the mental energy to cook what I had planned. School is kicking my behind (just about in the last week of class) and I'm not feeling so great. I did use a deal I was emailed, so I saved a little bit there... and I was good and got thin crust and now fatty meats.

Now to try and stay awake until Sanctuary tonight!

Well last night we went to the movies to see hop dd's had each a free movie pass and we also had to 10$ gift cards so the movie was free:cool1: the two bottles of water large popcorn and bag of m&m was not 19.50$ :scared1:

After the movies we needed to pick up some gifts and ende up getting a pizza at 945 last night. Ugh but it wa fun

Dh makes a big pot of pinto beans (or mixed beans) every week. We eat them for one meal, then he turns the rest into chili, which is my son's favorite food.

Tonight we're having the beans, stewed potatoes, and fried cornbread. We are working on a 50 pound bag of potatoes, so total cost is probably less than a couple of dollars.

We got back from a 6 day trip to visit family in South Carolina on Wednesday night, went back to work Thursday. Ate out 5 times + some drive thru too, and now that we've got our fix, we are committing to eating at home again!!

Thursday - we had beef burgundy stew with rice
Friday - we had chili dogs and french fries
Saturday (tonight) - I have NO motivation, but I think I'm going to try to make napa valley chicken with mashed potatoes and a veggie or something?? When you don't have meals planned out, it makes it very difficult the night of to figure out what to make sometimes
Sunday - deviled eggs/cheese stuffed celery/shrimp cocktail/ham/cheesy potatoes/veggies/cheescake at Mom's for Easter dinner
Monday - Pulled pork and baked beans
Tuesday - slow cooker pepper steak with rice
Wednesday - grilled chicken and pineapple quesadillas, guacamole

May switch some of the meals around :confused3

My children are on the porch swing "playing" Kilamanjaro Safari! The two oldest are taking turns being the Safari guides...so CUTE!!! :cutie:

I made a impromptu stir fry with shrimp, green beans, onions, and carrots. I went shopping today but forgot some things! I topped it with a ready made Kung Pao sauce.

We went to visit my cousin at college today. We ate lunch at a buffalo ranch, I had chicken, and ate dinner in his dorm room.

Tomorrow we will be eating at my Grandma's. I am making German chocolate cake for dessert though.

i am currently on weight watchers. i found a wonderful website that has recipes with weight watcher points per serving. (www.skinnytaste.com)

here's my plan for the week. most meals are from the skinnytaste website.

sunday-skinny chicken Parmesan, salad
monday-skinny shepherds pie, salad
tuesday-crockpot salasa chicken, brown rice, steamed corn
wednesday-Pasta with Roasted Broccoli with Garlic and Oil
thursday-Filipino Adobo Chicken, steamed green beans, brown rice
friday-Pasta with Cauliflower
saturday-turkey meatloaf, skinny garlic mashed potatoes, steamed spinach

any leftovers are usually packed up for lunches. i also plan on making a pot of Escarole Soup with Turkey Meatballs in case. that way i have something for lunch and am not tempted to buy subway.

We spend WAY too much money on food. We do buy organic whenever possible, shop at local markets, etc... but I find without a plan we over spend like crazy! I'm embarrassed to say we spend upwards of $1200 a month for our family of 3. Food goes bad and we throw a lot out - it's terrible and I'm putting a stop to it now. My first meal plan is made! I'm joining you folks! I'm also trying to fit into some prepregnancy clothes so knowing what I'm going to be eating next I think will help me not shove all those chocolate eggs in my mouth like I used to because I didn't have a clue what/when to eat next.

Tonight we're having pizza (leftover homemade sauce, frozen homemade dough, some veg and cheese). It's a healthy option if the ingredients are good :D

Welcome! Glad to have another poster on this thread!

I understand about the food going bad and throwing too much out. It happens here way too often. It is partially my fault and partially my mother's fault though. I simply buy and make too much food for 2 people (I am always worried if I will have enough) and my mom asks me to buy stuff for her that she then never eats. However, we are trying to break that habit!

On a personal note, tonight was my first attempt at yeast bread! The rolls I made seemed to come out pretty good. I ate WAY too much though and we have too many left overs. I could easily have fed 6+ people on what I made... but only had 3 of use eating it. YIKES!

I've been horrible....need to get back into the game...tonight, salad, rolls, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and berry poundcake for dessert.....chicken in the crockpot for tom...going to make soup and chick salad....

Hope everyone had a nice easter yesterday. We went over to my Grandma's and had ham, green beans, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, jello eggs, and bunny shaped rolls. I made German Chocolate cake for dessert.

Tonight we are having crock pot potato and corn chowder.

Tonight we're having Greek chicken (marinating in lemon and thyme right now) with multigrain bread, veggies and taziki. Yum!

Tonight we are having Salsa Chicken, Rice and Sauteed Zucchini...and leftover Banana Pudding from Easter, YUM!
