A small Eat At Home win today: We had to run errands and DH really wanted to go *right now* (11am). I told him we weren't leaving until I fed the kids lunch. Our M.O. is to start errands too late, take too long, and end up going out and spending $25 (fast food) - $100 (chain sit down). :faint: I made iced tea for everyone to take in their water bottles so I wouldn't hear "I'm dyyying of thirst, Mommy!" We didn't spend a dime on restaurant food or drinks and we were out for over 4 hours!

Dinner Wed: Beef stroganoff over egg noodles, homemade bread, fruit/salad.

Thurs: Hake (don't know what the heck it tastes like but Costco had it on sale super cheap!) with Tabasco beurre blanc, stuffed mushrooms with white cheddar sauce (copycat Longhorn Steakhouse), baked potatoes, fruit/salad.

Fri: Cheeseburgers (every Fri!) and fruit.

Sat: Homemade pizza (every Sat!)

Sunday was steaks, baked sweet potatoes, zucchini
Monday: Tacos
Tuesday: grilled chicken breast, asparagus, cauliflower
Wednesday: cilantro lime shrimp, zucchini noodles
Thursday: Planned night out for me, leftovers for DH and DS

Well, DH had to go out of town for work unexpectedly, so things have changed this week for us. New meal plan!

Monday: Leftovers
Tuesday: Chicken breast, broccoli
Wednesday: Chicken soup (leftovers go in the freezer)
Thursday: Meatloaf, broccoli and mashed sweet potatoes (more freezer meals with leftovers)
Friday: Leftovers
Saturday: Date Night at the Rodeo (if DH is home from work trip)

Lots of meat staying in the freezer for next week!

doing so poorly at keeping up with this.

Tonight - slow cooker chicken parm. sliders and I think I'm going to attempt to make hamburger buns from scratch. We'll see how that goes.

I'm new here, and so glad to find this thread! I really enjoy planning our meals and cooking. However, DH tries to be nice quite often and offers to take us out to eat. Of course, I don't turn him down, and unfortunately we normally end up eating fast food. Sooo, too many $$$ eating out plus too many bad calories! Our vacation is in June, so I'm wanting to save all the money I can, and losing a few pounds would be great as well! Here's to keeping to a menu plan! :) I will be making next week's out tomorrow, will share then!

Wednesday: cilantro lime shrimp, zucchini noodles

Can you tell me how you make your cilantro lime shrimp, please??

I'm late this week, oops!!

New England boiled dinner
Pad thai with shrimp
Thai chicken and veggies in the crockpot
Roasted tomato soup with goat cheese, grilled cheese
Hot dogs on the grill with potato chips
Fish tacos

Last night we had corn dog muffins with cucumber salad.

Tonight we had leftover corned beef with potato pancakes and carrots.

Please oh please tell me how you manage to make cauliflower rice not just a pile of mush? As a Paleo eater, I love the idea of cauliflower rice but mine is always just nasty in the end. I've tried steaming, boiling, roasting, ricing before and after cooking and it just always seems so wet. Ugh. Any tips or your method for this would be greatly appreciated.
