I have used a crock pot. Lol
My kids have had a few hot meals this year.

I just have no desire. I wish I could afford to jus pay someone to come and. Cook for me. Just normal food.

I manage a restaurant I am there 10 to 15 hours a day and I just can't do it when i get home.

I am hoping to read through some of the menu,s and dishes here that something will interest me enough to try something.

Tonight's meal.....2 poppa johns pizza and cheesy bread.

We have decided to go back on weight watchers tomorrow.

S this will literally mean a can of great northern beans for dinner. Lol

:cheer2:

I get so many yummy ideas from reading through everyone's posts!

Tonight is our busy night so it's a Sam's Club take and bake pizza night.

Hi Gang! our menu for the next week looks like this

Thurs - tonight - DS has team dinner with his hockey team so Hubs and I will have dreamfields pasta, sauce and meatballs
Fri - is frozen pizza night (we have 3 meat Digiorno in the freeszer)
Saturday is eat out night - maybe Subway this week
Sunday is decorate the tree night and meatloaf dinner, garlic shells, white rice and green beans then the kids will go to their dad's for the week..

next week will be just Hubs and I
Monday - Hubs will have a stufffed pepper and I will have a stuffed zucchini
Tuesday - Hot turkey sandwiches with Thanksgiving leftovers
Wednesday - I will make Zuppa Tuscano copycat soup but with macaroni vs. potatoes
Thursday - Hubs will make his famous chicken parm
Friday - frozen Ribs, L/O mashed pototes and cauliflower, roasted corn
Saturday - frozen pizza (again a 3 meat Digiorno)
Sunday - family Brunch at Hub's cousins house..

Happy planning..

Lynn -- My hubs is chef at work and I do the cooking at home - is this something that your Hubs could help out with? or maybe if you commit to making 2 nights of dinner over the weekend that he could just pop in the oven or into the crockpot in the morning it might help with WW? when i was a single mom I would on Sat make a list with at least 3 dinners on it and get all the stuff and then I cooked them and put them in the freezer and took them out of the freezer the am we were going to eat it and dropped it in to the crockpot or left in the fridge and just heated in the micro or oven when we got home? hope you find this helpful.. Michelle

Subway has subs for $2 for a 6 inch just a few kinds for all of dec.

I could just add a baked potatoe. And that will be awesome. :cool1:

I will have to not eat the bread. But the kids can eat the bread.

Oh great to know Lynn, we will be having Subway for sure this weekend then!

We got them it is only the meatball, which was very good, and the coldcut.

I had the meatball for dinner.
But the cold cut, you can take the veggies all off and make a decent salad.

I got a free dinner from Pizza Hut last night. Not my first choice for pizza. The funny thing is they are a few blocks away and it took a hour and thirty five minutes to get my pizza:mad: Well we saved a good chunk of change and ate some cold pizza. I was thinking Subway too but I knew they would be packed right when I got out of work.

Didn't do too well this weekend, DH wanted pizza on Fri. so that was $15 then we went to get Christmas Tree Saturday and searching for an angel tree topper and wound up at Macy's. It was late and DH said he was starving and didn't want to go home to eat so we ate at the mall.

Sunday - going to a christening
Monday - new salad with mandarin oranges and feta cheese, chicken
Tues. - pork loin with mustard sauce or pork chops
Wed - maybe meatballs and pasta
Thurs - chili
Friday - another new salad with chicken curry
Sat - going to inlaws for beans and escarole
Sun - chili

Last night I picked up pasta from pizza hut on my way home from work.

Tonight the plan is pork milanese with lemon thyme risotto, and brussel sprouts.

I made a crockpot of turkey and noodles yesterday (leftover turkey from Thanksgiving). Leftovers of that tonight, and probably my lunch for a couple days if there is anything left. It goes really far because I always make mashed potatoes to go under the soup.

I decided I'm going super easy this week (and hopefully next) because I have vowed to not stress out over this holiday season and the easier and faster my dinners are, the more time I have in the evenings to do fun stuff! :thumbsup2

So, on the menu this week is:
Tacos
Spaghetti/garlic bread/salad
Wed: church night - kids get fed @ church
Pork Tenderloin in the crockpot for pulled pork sandwiches/chips/veggies and dip
Pizza on Friday

I love easy, no brainer weeks! :cool1:

Tonight we had spaghetti and meatballs.

Monday--pulled pork sandwiches, fries, cole slaw
Tuesday--roast, rice and gravy, limas, salad
Wednesday--church night--either pizza at church, sandwiches or left overs
Thursday--stew with carrots and potatoes
Friday--taking dd, her bff, and the two grands to see the Christmas lights at the zoo, so probably will heat the roast or stew up afterwards
Saturday--decorating the tree and house, dd has a choir concert so not sure what we will do that day. Need to think of something else in the crock pot.

Sorry I have not really been around. It is insanity at the moment, though I am sure everyone on this thread understands that! I love the holidays... just not some of the crazy that is involved.

I always love getting ideas from this thread, so I'll join in!

Monday: Chicken Marsala casserole (Rachel Ray recipe), corn, and rolls
Tuesday: leftovers
Wednesday:spaghetti, salad, bread
Thursday:some kind of baked chicken breast, potatoes, and green beans
Friday: sandwiches or something quick; I'm a music teacher and my recital is on Friday evening

We just started a CSA, so got lots of root veggies to work into the menu along with some meat! We've also been snowed in, so I've done some extra cooking for fun!

Waffles with strawberry sauce, bacon

Pizza with ricotta, lamb sausage, and roasted veggies (tried my own crust for the first time --- so easy, and was really good!)

Cheeseburgers with turnip gratin

Tacos (beef and refried beans)

Salad with radish, avocado, and shrimp

Steak tips with Moroccan carrot salad

I also tried homemade cheese nips, pumpkin bread, and Italian ricotta cookies --- all were really good! And, made sundried tomato dip for a work party, and cranberry chutney for a work recipe project.
